Minutes of Cyngor Cymuned Aberchwiler – Aberwheeler Community Council on Tuesday, 16 th April, 2019 at 7.00pm in the Waen Chapel School Room, Aberwheeler.

Present: Community Councillors D M Roberts (Chair), H Burton (Vice-Chair), J A Jones, D G Edwards, H Sweetman, County Councillor Merfyn Parry and the Clerk Helen Williams.

Apologies: Community Councillors G M Jones and I Parry.

29/19 Members of the Public. Nil.

30/19 Declaration of Interest. Nil.

31/19 Approval of Minutes of Previous Meeting. Accepted as correct.

32/19 Matters Arising. The Clerk addressed the Meeting, that Mr. Tudor Jones, (Website Designer) was very ill and unable to continue working. The Clerk has been to collect our documents from Mr. Jones’s Office in Ruthin. Members have been inform about three tenders for a new website as a matter of urgency. H G Web Designs in Bala was selected both on price and presentation for information on smartphones, tablets and computers. The Clerk will go to H G Web Designs in Bala with the required documents.

33/19 Correspondence. JDH Business Services Ltd have allocated the Internal Audit for submitting our accounts on Thursday May, 16 th , 2019 and collecting our documents on Thursday, May 23 rd , 2019, at Pontblyddyn Cricket Club between the hours of 10.00am and 12.00 noon.

34/19 Reports. County Councillor Merfyn Parry and Trevor Carr of DCC Highways will be around the Community of Aberwheeler inspecting the roads for pot holes and resurfing as well as looking into Health and Safety in all areas of the roads in Aberwheeler. A Meeting is to be arranged with the Officials of the Aberwheeler Playing Field Committee and the Aberwheeler Sports Committee for future development in the playing field with Cadwyn Clwyd for grants etc. Grants might also be available from the Brenig Windfarm etc.

35/19 Finance. Members approved the Final statements for the end financial year 2018/2019. Members approved the following payments: - cheque No. 100283 to ICO Date Protection Fee £40.00. Cheque No. 100284 to Play Inspect Company £78.00. Cheque No 100285 One Voice for Wales £51.00.

36/19 Other Matters. Request for an update on the fence between playing field and ex Efail y Waen field. A new field gate has appeared on the Geinas to Aberwheeler Farmhouse road. New signage for Offa’s Dyke path required near crossroad below Berllan onto Grove Road. The ex- phone box requires painting ASAP.
