Minutes of Cyngor Cymuned Aberchwiler – Aberwheeler Community Council on Tuesday, 27th February, 2018 at 7.00pm
Present: Community Councillors D G Edwards (Chair), J A Jones, D M Roberts, Mrs. G Jones, Mrs. H Burton, Mrs. H Sweetman and the Clerk Helen Williams.
Apologies: Community Councillor I Parry and County Councillor M Parry.
10/18 Declaration of Interest: Community Councillor Mrs. H Sweetman re planning application No.09/2018/0019.
11/18 Approval of Minutes of previous Meeting: Accepted as correct.
12/18 Matters Arising: None.
13/18 Correspondence: Ysgol Bodfari and Bodfari Community Council request for an Aberwheeler Community Councillor to represent both Community Councils on the Board of Governors for the next four years. It was resolved to ask Bodfari Community Council to serve for a further period of four years and Aberwheeler Community Council would review the situation then. Donation for the Eisteddfod yr Urdd Appeal for Llandyrnog, Llangwyfan and Aberchwiler. Members approved a donation of £200.00 (two hundred pounds), towards this event in 2020. Local Democracy and Boundary Commission for Wales. New Data Protection Laws. Denbighshire Local Development Plan 2006-2021. Flintshire and Wrexham online watch link Association. JDH Business Service Ltd, Internal Audit Plan 2017/18, Letter of approval to be sent. Playing field inspection.
14/18 County Councillors Report: Email sent to the Clerk. A visit with Trevor Carr of DCC Highways Dept., will take place next week to inspect repair work that needs to be carried out. Very pleased with the improvement to the parking area in Porth-y-Waen Bungalows.
15/18 Planning: 09/2018/0019 – Ysgubor Isa. Comment: Object. Agree with observations made by AONB. 09/2017 – Stables Glan Clwyd Bella. Comment: No objections. Amendment a great improvement. 09/2018/0111 – Castell Bach. Comment: No Objection.
16/18 Finance: Members approval to pay: - Play Inspection Comp., £78.00 (100269). One Voice for Wales subscription 2018/2019 = £49.00 (100270). Eisteddfod yr Urdd, £200.00 (100271).
17/18 AOB: Repair potholes in Porth y Waen. Update on 40 mph on Waen Hill. Members impressed with the vast parking area in Porth y Waen.
