Photo Nick Bookelaar Eindhoven is a municipality and a city located in the province of North Brabant in the south of the Netherlands. It has a surface of 88,84 km². The city has a population of almost 225.000, making it the fifth-largest municipality of the Netherlands and the largest of North Brabant.
When you google innovation, it is no coincidence that the first images you will find are light bulbs. 125 years ago, Philips brought light to the City of Eindhoven. The company transformed the city into a vibrant industrial success story. Nowadays Eindhoven is a city of opportunity, encouraging possibilities. The city is going through some positive changes. The inner city is bustling and for the first time since many years, Saturday has been the best day for hotels when it comes to overnight stays. Furthermore, large public events such as Dutch Design Week and GLOW Eindhoven counted a higher number of visitors and showed a mix of ambition and pleasure. These factors are important to attract talents and starters, and at the same time to create a living environment for newcomers and make them feel at home.
