Under the leadership of Castillo, Chicago United has launched nationally recognized programs including the Chicago United Leadership Conference, the Bridge Awards Dinner, the Business Leaders of Color publications, The Five Forward Initiative™, and the Transformative Inclusion Members Series that presents national thought leaders in diversity and inclusion research.

Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer, Wintrust Financial Corporation @melissabassdon2 MELISSA DONALDSON @WintrustFinancial Melissa Donaldson is chief diversity officer for Wintrust Financial Corporation, a financial with more than $24 billion in assets. In this new role, Melissa will work with senior leadership companywide to establish diversity and inclusion priorities, including initiatives aimed at increasing diversity in leadership pipeline development, marketplace reach and community engagement. Prior to joining Wintrust, Melissa was director, diversity networks and communication for , one of the nation’s largest drugstore chains and part of the Retail Pharmacy USA Division of (WBA). Melissa is credited with producing two editions of the award-winning Walgreens Diversity and Inclusion Annual Report, and delivering the company’s inaugural Global Executive Women’s Conference. She currently serves on the YWCA Lake County Board, Chicago United Leaders Council, and Network Executive Women Inclusion Committee.

Managing Director of Diversity & Inclusion, United Airlines @SampleDavisJazz GREGORY JONES @weareunited Gregory (Greg) Jones, a Chicago Native and Navy veteran, is the managing director of diversity and inclusion for United. He is charged with driving diversity and inclusion throughout the global airline and it’s more than 84,000 employees. Prior to joining United, he was the director of diversity and corporate staffing for Northwestern Mutual. Before joining Northwestern Mutual, he was the head of diversity and inclusion for UBS Wealth Management. Greg has an extensive background with senior management hiring and retention at Bank of America. In addition, as a consultant with Egon Zehnder, an executive search firm headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, Greg spent his time recruiting and assessing senior talent at various firms that ranged from high tech to manufacturing. Additionally, he is a member of the Board of Directors for the Thurgood Marshall College Fund. 4 Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion, and Chief Diversity Officer, Advocate Health Care ANDREW LEE @advocatehealth Currently, Dr. Andrew H. Lee, is the vice president and chief diversity officer for Advocate Health Care. Advocate is the largest health system in Illinois; with its Level 1 Trauma network with more than 35,000 associates, including 6,300 affiliated physicians and nearly 10,000 nurses. As Advocate’s executive leader of diversity & inclusion, Dr. Lee is responsible for the development and execution of a system-wide strategic diversity and inclusion approach which differentiates Advocate Health Care in the competitive healthcare market. To this end, Dr. Lee implements leading-edge and next-generation diversity and inclusion and community engagement strategies to progress the organization’s diversity management capability and regional presence as a diversity thought leader. Dr. Lee has taught as a visiting lecturer at University of California, Berkeley, and American College of Healthcare Executives. In addition, Dr. Lee’s strong passion in community service has led to his recognition as a top leader 40 under 40 from the San Diego Metropolitan Magazine, which acknowledges business leaders and professionals making an impact in multicultural communities.

Manager for Diverse Business Empowerment, ComEd, An Exelon Company TERRY MILLER @ComEd Terry serves as the manager for diverse business empowerment for ComEd, An Exelon Company. Exelon Corporation is the nation's largest nuclear power company and parent company to Chicago based ComEd, but also owns utility interests and electric generation in eight other states. In Terry’s role as manager, he serves Exelon as a subject matter expert on regulatory law, contracting, sourcing, subcontracting, and corporate supplier diversity. In addition, Terry helps to provide strategic management and oversight for approximately $1.7 billion worth of business deals executed between Exelon and minority/ woman owned businesses annually. Prior to his work at Exelon, Terry served as the senior assistant city attorney for Naperville. While serving Naperville, Terry was the city’s principal litigator, lobbyist, and contract attorney.

SVP of Conservation, Education and Community Affairs, Chicago Zoological Society JO-ELLE MOGERMAN @brookfield_zoo As senior vice president of conservation, education and community affairs, Dr. Jo-Elle Mogerman is responsible for the zoo's international conservation portfolio, cradle to grave on-site and off-site education programs, and the institution’s D&I initiatives. She led the Indiana Dunes Environmental Learning Center as its executive director and has worked at nearly all of the nature-based cultural institutions in the city. She is currently adjunct at DePaul University’s School of New Learning where she teaches a course that engages students as citizen scientists. Her current professional memberships and civic leadership include Illinois Nature Preserves commissioner, chairwoman - AZA Diversity Committee, The Society for Diversity, and Chicago Wilderness Executive Council member. 5 EVP of Marketing and Strategy, Chicago Sun-Times JULIAN POSADA @SUNTIMES Julian Posada currently serves as EVP of marketing and strategy for Chicago Sun-Times. He managed several departments at the Sun-Times during his tenure including Chicago.com, technology, strategy, and served as co-publisher of the Reader publication. He currently manages and leads the $30M audience development/circulation team, as well as all marketing initiatives for the company. Posada was formerly the president and CEO of the Chicago Fire Soccer Club. Prior to this, he was publisher/GM for Hoy, Chicago's only Spanish daily newspaper (Tribune owned and operated). Posada launched his own company—Café Media LLC—which focused on second and third generation Hispanics, and has held senior level positions at Citibank in Colombia, SA, where he worked on both the marketing and operations side of the business. Currently, he serves on the Boards of the Chicago Parks Foundation, The Taproot Foundation, World Sport Chicago and The Otho S. A. Sprague Memorial Institute

President & CEO, Chicago Urban League @sharirunner SHARI RUNNER @ChiUrbanLeague Shari Runner is the president and CEO of the Chicago Urban League. A native of Chicago, she has been an active part of the city’s civic and cultural life. Established in 1916, the Chicago Urban League works for economic, educational, and social progress for African Americans and promotes strong sustainable communities through advocacy, collaboration, and innovation. Runner leads the strategic planning, development, programming, and community outreach for the organization, one of the largest of the 95 affiliates of the National Urban League. With more than 25 years in operations and financial management, she has also worked as an entrepreneur, management consultant, and community advocate. Her civic leadership includes serving on the Board of Directors of Urban Gateways and as the president of the Board of Directors of the Bright Promises Foundation. She has been actively involved with the Museum of Science and Industry’s Black Creativity program since 2000.

Chief Purpose Officer, Corporate Responsibility Leader and PwC Charitable Foundation President, PwC @ShannonSchuyler SHANNON SCHUYLER @PwC_LLP A highly accomplished and sought-after corporate responsibility (CR) leader, Shannon has a deep understanding of social innovation, youth education, employee engagement, and the meaning of purpose beyond profit. Having established purpose as part of corporate responsibility strategy, she is now working to infuse purpose into PwC’s core business strategy, elevating the global conversation on building trust, collaboration, and acting with intention and meaning in every practice, service offering, and engagement. Shannon has spoken at the UN General Assembly, participated in G20 meetings, and keynoted at the Social Innovation Summit. Foreign Policy honored her as a 2015 Global Thinker, and she is a managing editor for Huffington Post's What's Working initiative. 6 Americas Career Management Leader, Ernst & Young LLP WARREN M. SMITH @EY_Chicago Warren is a director and the career management leader for EY’s Americas practice. In this capacity, he oversees the enterprise strategy execution for performance management, succession planning, onboarding and integration, and career investment efforts for more than 43,000 professionals. He is a member of EY’s Americas Talent Executive Committee and he has served on multiple global task forces for the firm. In total, he has spent the last 26 years in progressively responsible leadership roles in large multinational organizations including Arthur Andersen, Lockheed Martin, and AT&T Communications. Warren is a member of the National Association of Black Accountants and Society of Human Resources Management and serves on the advisory council for the National Association of African Americans in Human Resources. In addition, he serves on the Board of Trustees for the Covenant Classical School in Naperville, IL, and served as the Committee Chair for Chicago United’s Inside Inclusion: Featuring the Corporate Diversity Profile.

Vice President, Global Diversity and Inclusion, Hyatt Hotels Corporation TYRONNE STOUDEMIRE @HyattChicago Tyronne Stoudemire, vice president, global diversity and inclusion, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, has more than 20 years of experience in diversity and inclusion, and human resource management. At Hyatt Worldwide, Stoudemire works with the senior leadership team to implement culture, talent, and marketplace strategies that leverage diversity to grow the business across the company’s portfolio of brands. As such, his team and internal corporate partners have implemented diversity-training initiatives including diversity business resource groups, mentoring programs for high potential women and people of color, a communications and public relations strategy to drive internal engagement and external brand recognition, and enhanced brand marketing effort to further focus on multicultural and LGBT audiences.

TAPIA @Korn_Ferry Mr. Tapia is a senior client partner/solution lead for the Workforce Performance, Inclusion and Diversity Practice in Korn Ferry’s Chicago office. Andrés has been one of the leading voices in shaping a contemporary, next generation approach to diversity and inclusion. Andrés, the author of a ground-breaking book, The Inclusion Paradox: The Obama Era and the Transformation of Global Diversity, is a frequently sought after, globally, to speak on the topic of diversity and inclusion. He is the recipient of numerous leadership and diversity awards and has served on a number of boards, including currently serving on the Editorial Board of Diversity Executive magazine, the Corporate Advisory Board for the Bentley University Center for Women and Business, and the Ravinia Festival Board. 7 SVP, Central Bank Services, System Leadership Initiative, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago VALERIE J. VAN METER @ChicagoFed Valerie leads the Central Bank Services division, which includes discount window lending, payments system risk, reserve accounting, and statistical and financial reporting. In addition, she has responsibility for the Federal Reserve System’s Senior Leadership Development Initiative; and is a member of the Chicago Reserve Bank’s Executive Committee. Valerie has been with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago since 1993, holding various management positions in Central Bank Services, the Customer Relations and Support Office, and the Detroit Branch. She also recently served as the Bank’s first chief diversity officer and its chief financial officer. Valerie co-founded the Pipeline Initiative (FSP), a funders collaborative dedicated to increasing the representation of Latinos and African-Americans, at all levels, within the Chicago-area financial services industry. She serves as the co-chair of the FSP’s Steering Committee. She is also a member of the 2013 cohort of Chicago United’s “Business Leaders of Color”.
