• The Languedoc – Is the largest wine region in the world and the oldest in France – Is becoming an exiting new center of interest for the trade, connoisseur and int’ wine press

• La Clape – Used to be an Island from where the Romans exported wines to Italy – Is on the Shores of the Mediterranean sea (cooler climate, finer wines) – Is a Nature Conservation Area by French and European laws – Is considered as high end wine area in by International Press Is becoming an independent Communal Appellation, like “Pauillac” in the Médoc or Châteauneuf-du-Pape in the Rhone Valley

Famille E. Fabre : a Wine Affair

• Eric Fabre’s family took over Château Lamothe- Cissac in the 60’s in Haut-Médoc, after 5 generations making wine

• Christine (Eric’s wife) is also from a wine producing family at Château Fourcas-Dupré in Listrac-Médoc

• Mid 80’s Eric Fabre became Technical Director of Château Lafite Rothschild in Pauillac-Médoc

• 2002 Eric took over and re-launched Château d’Anglès in La Clape, South of France.

• 2010 Vianney, youngest of the 4 children, joins the family after 5 years as export manager at Bollinger, to look after sales and take part of the with his father.

About Château d’Anglès • Building basements from the 11th century on top of a Roman villa • Estate founded in 1796 by Barthélémy-Etienne d’Anglès • Development of qualitative from the 60’s by locally renown winegrower Jean Ségura, bringing qualitative old vines today • 48 Hectares vineyard • Vineyard improvements from 2002 to 2005 by Eric Fabre in order to match the and get a perfect wine balance • 60% Red, 30% White and 10% wines • Regional grape varieties are favored to express the terroir: – Red : Mourvèdre, , and – White : Bourboulenc, Grenache, and Marsanne. • Land management focused on the respect for the environment thanks to sustainable practices according to ASCERT charter
