1966 FERRARI 275 GTB/C Rosso Chiaro with Blue SOLD Mileage N/A miles Engine Capacity 3285cc Body Style Coupe Fuel Petrol Transmission Manual Chassis No. 09041 A 9000 series competition 275 is the only variant to carry the official GTB/C model designation from the factory. Only 12 of these special cars were ever produced, the bodies were constructed from 20 gauge aluminium, which is approximately half the thickness of a normal alloy-bodied car. The engine was provided with dry sump lubrication, although a believed error in the submission of the homologation forms for the new car omitted to mention the six carburettor option, thus they had to run with only a triple carburettor assembly. However, the carburettors were specific to this series of cars, being a trio of twin choke Weber 40 DF13 models without cold start choke assemblies, featuring elegantly formed rearward curved intake trumpets. The compression ratio was raised slightly from the standard 9.2:1 to 9.3:1 using special pistons, connecting rods and crankshaft, whilst Nimonic steel inlet and exhaust valves were fitted, the latter being sodium filled to aid heat dissipation. A larger bore exhaust system, with two separate pairs of free flow manifolds per bank, aided hasty exhaust gas passage. P.1 of 5 Note_140 Ferrari Lap Speeds at Monza, 1948 – 1967 This Note 140 is a complement to Note 136 Ferrari Racing Engines, 1948 - 2012 by providing an “Index of Performance” for a range of the cars whose engines are analysed there. The chosen parameter is the Lap Speed at Monza, up to the date, post-1967, when aero downforce made it impossible to quantify the cause of speed increases. A plan of Monza is shown. Over 1948 – 1954 it had two right- angle bends at the Curva Sud. When the high-speed banked loop to the East of the basic track was constructed for 1955 this end of the circuit was altered as shown to the “Parabolica”. Only the two level layouts are considered in this review. Taking account of the difference in lap length, 6.300 km before the change and 5.750 afterwards, it is considered that the effect on Lap Speed is within the co-relation margin for error. Lap Speed v, Date Fig. 1 below gives the history of the cars selected, over the 5 formulae. To me it means I’m a member of the best car club anyone could be a member of. It means I get to meet people who share the same pas - sion I have for my favorite Italian car. It means I have made lasting friends and relationships. It means I get to see cars under normal circumstances I would never see. It means I have ample opportunity to drive my car on the track, with plenty of opportunities to go on scenic drives for the day –the weekend –and sometimes longer that that. It means I get to display my car in numerous concours, and have the opportunity to win trophies and awards. And It means about 25+ more items that I can add to the list. I bet you can even think of more than that. It’s so much more than just a car club, it’s an ability to participate in a life style that we all are so fortunate to have the means to do so. That’s what it is to me. Think about it, see what it means to you. We have a fantastic year of events coming up. By the time you are reading this, the Holiday Party, Kart racing, The Tech Inspection at South Bay Ferrari, The Nethercutt Collection, the Mullin Museum Run, and the Enzo Cruise In event would have passed. Up coming is The Ortega Run, the Willow Springs Driving School, the McDonald’s to McDonnell Douglas Run, and The Rancho Los Alamitos Run. -

Maranello, 11 March 2021 – The new exhibition at the Museo Enzo Ferrari in Modena brings together the one-off cars built by Ferrari for Gianni Agnelli and meticulously customised in close collaboration with him. This unique collection is a testament to the symbiotic relationship that developed between two of the most charismatic and authoritative figures of the 20th century and endured for over 50 years. “Gianni Agnelli and Ferrari. The Elegance of the Legend” is an homage by the Maranello marque to one of its greatest touchstones, first and foremost as a loyal client and later as close confidant and partner, on the 100th anniversary of the latter’s birth tomorrow. The official online opening of the exhibition takes place on March 12 on the Ferrari Museums’ social media channels and website. As we wait for new government regulations to allow us to reopen the MEF’s exhibition halls to the public, we will be organising two free virtual live tours of around 30 minutes each day until April 1. These can be booked starting tomorrow at the Museums’ website (Ferrari.com/it-IT/museums).
