Aviation Department Traffic Statistics: J. Quayson, J. Cuneo, D.Mesa, S.Khalilov YTD March traffic was up 2.4%. Domestic capacity was down 2.6%, JetBlue and Delta, Nos. 1 and 2 among domestic airlines, carried 165,000 fewer passengers, and as a result, YTD domestic traffic was down 1.6. With a seat capacity gain of 4.2%, the international sector generated all the growth as traffic THE PORT AUTHORITY OF NY & NJ grew 6.8%, led by Delta, JetBlue, Aeroflot and Turkish Air, each with an average net gain exceeding 50,000 MARCH 2013 TRAFFIC REPORT passengers. Growth returned to the transatlantic region as it led with a net gain of a 13,000 passengers for a gain of 5.1%. Again, the disappointment was in the cargo sector where cargo continued to remain weak and YTD March cargo fell 2.3%.
