PARK LANE ABBOTS WORTHY, , SO21 1DT

PARK LANE ABBOTS WORTHY, WINCHESTER, SO21 1DT

A STYLISH AND SPACIOUS VILLAGE HOME

The property was believed to have originally been a stable block and coach house. Lovingly converted and extended in 2005, it has been transformed into an exceptional, spacious modern home without compromising its character and appeal. The house boasts large well-proportioned reception rooms and bedrooms, beautifully finished and decorated throughout with close attention to detail.

The main hallway, principal reception rooms and kitchen have been designed with family living in mind, but also to be able to cope admirably with larger-scale entertaining. These aims are wonderfully achieved thanks to the open-plan nature of many of the rooms, and are further enhanced by a neutral décor, oak floors which tie the spaces together, and an abundance of natural light through the many windows.

The heart of the house is the exquisite open-plan fitted Leicht kitchen/breakfast and family room stretching the full depth of the house. The focal point of this space is the large central island with granite work surface, double sink and breakfast bar which comfortably seats four people. The kitchen also boasts soft closing doors and unit s, a free standing De Dietrich range cooker, Bosch dishwasher, Bosch microwave, Siemens wine cooler and Bosch fridge and freezer. Additionally there is a very useful utility room with sink, plumbing for washing machine and dryer, separate w.c. and direct a ccess to the garden. Both the enclosed rear garden and the side garden are accessed from the kitchen by two separate French doors.

The dining room is a well-proportioned space alongside the family area, easily able to accommodate a large table and chairs, while on the other side of the hall a superb TV room/sitting room is a lovely space in which to relax and enjoy the log-burning stove, and the built in projector TV with its retractable hidden screen, and ceiling speakers. Tucked away beyond the TV room a t the back of the house is a most useful office.

Upstairs, the master bedroom is a most impressive and welcoming room with vaulted, beamed ceiling, an array of fitted wardrobes and a large balcony accessed by double doors. The clever configuration allows for bedroom 4, which is located alongside the master, to be used perhaps as a nursery or dressing room, and there is a large stylish wet-room style shower room for these two bedrooms to share. The comfortable and spacious guest bedroom benefits from its own en-suite wet room and the third bedroom (also a good double) is serviced by the superb family bathroom which includes a free standing bath.

Outside, the house sits centrally within its plot, which provides two manageable gardens. The enclosed rear garden has a paved patio area designed for alfresco dining, with a sunny aspect and complete privacy. The second garden can be accessed from the front of the house or the kitchen and its border is defined by a mature hedge. It also benefits from a paved patio, and a raised lawn beyond a brick - built retaining wall. At the front, there is ample parking for several cars alongside a small a rea of lawn, flanked by a white picket fence.
