SCHOOL Wesleyan Christian Academy is a K-12 college preparatory school located in High Point, NC. It is a division of Wesleyan Education Center, under the umbrella of the North Carolina Wesleyan districts as well as the Wesleyan denomination.

ENROLLMENT Total enrollment in 2018-2019 was 969 with 377 students in grades 9-12. Admission is open to all qualified students and is based on academic records, admissions testing, personal interviews, and recommendations.

ACCREDITATION Wesleyan Christian Academy is accredited by the Advance ED and the Association of Christian Schools International and holds membership in the North American Coalition for Christian Admissions Professionals, and North Carolina Association of Independent Schools. All teachers are certified by the state of North Carolina.

GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS Students must earn a minimum of 23 credits, including 4 in English, 4 in Math, 3 in Science, 3 in Social Studies, 2 in a Foreign Language, 2 in Bible, 1 in Physical Education, and 1 in Philosophy. Seniors must also complete 12 hours of community service.

The academy grading scale as of 2016-2017 is as follows: A+=98-100; A=93-97; A-=90-92; B+=87-89; B=83-86; B- =80-82; C+=77-79; C=73-76; C-=70-72; D+=67-69; D=63-66; D-=60-62; F=Below 60.

Grade Point Average is calculated at the end of each year, based on final grades. All grades earned at Wesleyan Christian Academy are included in the GPA. GPA is calculated on a 4 point scale, with weighting for AP and Honors courses according to the following scale: one extra point for honors courses and two extra points for AP courses.

Wesleyan provides a rigorous college preparatory curriculum for all students and does not rank.

CURRICULUM AP: Advanced Placement CP: College Preparatory Students are limited to three AP classes during their Junior and Senior year, unless they receive special permission from administration. Sophomores are allowed to take one AP class and freshmen are not allowed to take an AP class.
