Prelude Hymns and Songs of Faith and Joy Lee Wright

Words of Grace and Greeting Nancy Brown

* Hymn Morning Has Broken BUNESSAN

1 Morning has broken Like the first morning, Blackbird has spoken Like the first bird. Praise for the singing! Praise for the morning! Praise for them, springing Fresh from the Word!

2 Sweet the rain’s new fall Sunlit from Heaven, Like the first dewfall On the first grass. Praise for the sweetness Of the wet garden, Sprung in completeness Where God’s feet pass.

3 Mine is the sunlight, Mine is the morning, Born of the one light Eden saw play. Praise with elation, Praise every morning, God’s re-creation Of the new day!

*Gathering Prayer (unison) O God of grace and glory, we gather here this day to remember our sister, Deborah. We thank you for giving her to us, her family and friends, to know and to love as a companion on our early pilgrimage. In your boundless compassion, console us who mourn. Give us faith to see in death the gate of eternal life, so that in quiet confidence we may continue our course on earth, until, by your call, we are reunited with those who have gone before, through Christ our Lord. Amen. Readings Psalm 23 Revelation 21:1-4

*Hymn In the Bulb there Is a Flower PROMISE (Music may be found at the end of the bulletin)

Reflection Nancy Brown Remembrances from Family and Friends

*Song Rockin’ Around the Tree Johnny Marks (Please join in singing twice through.)

“Rockin' around the at the Christmas party hop Mistletoe hung where you can see every couple tries to stop Rockin' around the Christmas tree let the Christmas spirit ring Later we'll have some and we'll do some caroling.

You will get a sentimental feeling when you hear Voices singing, “Let's be jolly deck the halls with boughs of holly!” Rockin' around the Christmas tree have a happy holiday Everyone dancin' merrily in the new old-fashioned way.”

Prayer of Thanksgiving The Prayer of Jesus Our Creator, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy Spirit come! Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Spirit, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*Hymn Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah CWM RHONDA (Music may be found at the end of the bulletin)
