UNEP's Global Environmental Monitoring System (GEMS/Water) has produced the Annotated Digital Atlas of Global Water Quality. This online atlas summarizes & displays data on 82 major watersheds for the period 1976-1990.

By using AVHRR data, ESA/ESRIN has developed the Fire Atlas for Africa (July 1992-June 1994), Australia (January-December 1993), & South America (January-December 1993). Online are monthly continental maps in GIF format with detected fire plotted on them. Available for downloading are monthly fire location files.

World Meteorological Organization's Total Ozone Maps of the Northern Hemisphere (daily ozone distribution maps from Nov. 1, 1996 through March 31, 1997)

The UK Street Map Page provides address searching & street maps for the UK. Currently available are street maps for Greater London & road atlas maps for the entire UK. You can also search by post code, name of place, or Ordnance Survey Grid coordinates.

On-line Baltic Sea Drainage Basin GIS, Map & Statistical Database. The purpose of theis data- base is to promote public knowledge & to stimulate research on the Baltic Sea Region. It is the result of the Baltic Drainage Basin Project, a research endeavor carried out by the EU, UNEP GRID-Arendal, & the Beijer Institute at the University of Stockholm. GIS data are available in Idrisi & ARC/INFO formats; the maps are in GIF, TIF, & EPS formats. Also available is statitistical information on population, land cover, & country distribution of watershed units.

The International Nuclear Safety Center Database is a comprehensive resource database for safety analysis & risk evaluation of nuclear power plants. Included are country maps (based on CIA maps) with nuclear reactor locations and type of reactors indicated. Contents
