Black and gold. This season, go for the gold with burnished yarns, satiny silks and a gilded version of our knit necklace. Mix gold with black for maximum glamour.

Best-dressed pants. The jean gets dressed for the evening in Filigree Printed Ponte, organic cotton with tuxedo stripes and, of course, our favorite waxed denim. Add a new patina with our Mineral Washed Stretch Velveteen, front cover.

Mohair Fur. Elegance takes a walk on a wild side with a vest and infinity wrap in our new untamed mohair knit.

Stripes, stripes, stripes. Bold, blurred or barely there, our new stripes add graphic impact to sweaters, tops and an indispensable tank in Organic Linen Jersey Stripe.

Fashion plait. Plaiting is a knitting technique that uses two yarns, one inside and one out. It lets us play with color in some of our new favorite sweaters (front and back covers): weightless Plaited Mohair and Plaited Organic Cotton & Tencel, a fair trade knit that Eileen adores.

Harem headlines. We’re wild about our newest harem with a higher rise and a leggy, boot-ready silhouette. As for Eileen’s true-love harem, the maxi in Lightweight Viscose Jersey—we consider it so essential we added it to this season’s System.

The silk top everyone’s talking about. If we had to pick the most valuable player to transition into spring, it’s our Silk Crepe de Chine sleeveless top. Look for it in the February delivery; wear it under everything—or by itself later in the season.

Exterior design. Two sleek ways to greet the great outdoors: Bonded Fleece and Quilted Recycled Polyester Sheen.

Miami or Minneapolis. In each delivery, you’ll find the coziest knits in cotton and viscose. Winter doesn’t have to mean wool.

Ampersand update. Our best-selling Linen Jersey now uses organic fiber. Whether it has stripes, shimmer or mélanged color, Linen Jersey starts in a field that is free of pesticides and herbicides. By supporting organic farming, we are supporting clean water, clean air and a healthy environment for workers and wildlife.

On the Tibetan Plateau, yak are still herded by nomads. Their soft undercoat is combed for a sweater that supports a traditional livelihood.
