Ryan Burnett, face of Guitar Hero Live, announces the release of debut single, Killers, on 30th October. Ryan moved from Manchester to Brighton at the age of 17 on receiving a scholarship to study music. He went on to form and play in several bands, recording albums and touring all over the world. Performance highlights included opening two sell-out Hammersmith Apollo shows, Rock Am Ring and three tours of the US. After a period in Nashville, writing and working on new material, and realising that a solo career was not the direction for him, singer songwriter Ryan formed his band, The Vanguards, with CJ Evans, Dan Logan and Ben Johnsen. The band’s music has been compared to Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty and Kodaline, but The Vanguards are set on printing their own contemporary stamp on a popular sound. The band is backed by Metropolis London Music, with the track produced and mixed by Guy Chambers’ right hand man Paul Stanborough (Katie Melua, Kylie, INXS), and mastered by Mazen Murad (The Rolling Stones, Muse, Björk). Ryan was chosen to front the new Guitar Hero Live game, released earlier this month. The game is a world first, using live action rather than computer graphics.
