Directions to Plas Efenechtyd Cottage B&B
Plas Efenechtyd Cottage is 2 miles from Ruthin in North Wales. We are just off the Look out for the duck signs B5105 (Ruthin – Cerrigydrudion road). The house is on a very narrow lane.
Some people have got a bit lost trying to find the house using Sat Nav (GPS) so it’s probably better to follow our directions and the map. Look out for the duck signs along the lane to help you.
Please note: these directions are different to the old ones due to the parlous state of the lane we used to use!
From Ruthin Take the road signed Bala. Go straight on at the mini-roundabout on the B5105 towards Cerrigydrudion (Bala is signposted left). The road narrows and goes uphill towards a church and a pub (The Cross Keys). Immediately before the pub turn left. Follow this lane for about a mile until you come into Efenechtyd village. Take the first right uphill between 2 houses (before you have reached the church). Carry on up this road for about half a mile. Plas Efenechtyd Cottage is up the hill on the right.
From the South (Corwen, Llangollen, Wrexham) You may come through Efenechtyd village itself. In that case, at Efenechtyd Church, take the small, steep lane almost directly opposite. Continue up the hill staying on the main lane until you see us on the right.
From Cerrigydrudion and the A5 About 3 miles past Clawddnewydd and 2 miles before Ruthin you will pass a cream coloured house on the left called ‘The Lodge’. Turn right immediately after this into a very narrow lane. Our house is a short distance down this lane on the left hand side. You will see our tall pine tree by the house.
