AT 4012 4-ch Display & Multiplexer

The MultiQuad II (AT4012) is a digital video chip for 4-channel video display and multiplex which has two output ports: one for monitoring and the other for recording.

Specifications/Features Descriptions z 4-channel motion picture display and multiplex with 1 Chip The MultiQuad II (AT4012) receives the digital video z 8-channel motion picture display and multiplex with 2 Chips with ITU-R BT.656 format from the video decoders, and z 1 independent playback channel then outputs the processed image for two purposes: one z ITU-R BT.656 interface with video decoder for monitoring and the other for recording. For monitoring z Internal high performance H/V scaler (1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 2/3, purpose, one AT4012 chip can display a maximum of 4- 3/4) for monitoring output channels, and two AT4012 chips can display a maximum z 2X zoom display of 8-channels. For recording purpose, one AT4012 chip z Motion detection and loss detection for each carries an output of 30fps (60(50) fields/sec for channel 720×240(288) and 120(100) fields/sec for 360×240(288)), z Various output formats for recording output and two AT4012 chips carry an output of 60fps (120(100) ‹Non-scaled, scaled image output fields/sec for 720×240(288) and 240(200) fields/sec for ‹Horizontally or vertically split image output 360×240(288)). This chip can handle 4-channels per chip. ‹Quad image output This chip requires only one SDRAM with 32 bits data bus ‹Double output (CIF 120 fps) for both monitoring and recording processes. z Random channel indexing for recording output z Blank picture display and freeze function for each The operation of the AT4012 is as follows: channel The maximum 4 video data from video decoders are z Image enhancement for monitoring output inputted into the AT4012. Multiple video data are down- z OSD & PIP functions for monitoring output sampled according to the selected monitoring format, and z User selectable high frequency reduction filter for then the multiple split-screen display video is outputted recording output for visual monitoring. Also, the time-division multiplexed z Pre-alarm function for recording output video data are outputted for recording purpose. The z Parallel interface for chip control AT4012 supports various recording outputs: full-sized z Only one 64Mb SDRAM video, scaled video and multiple split-screen video z 2.5V core, 3.3V I/O (maximum of 4 channels). z 208 QFP Package The advantages of the AT4012 are as follows: z Because of the internal scaler, a more cost-effective video decoder can be used. Applications z Only one 64Mbit SDRAM is required instead of two z DVR () SDRAMs for competitor’s solution. z Multiplexer z Because of various recording output modes, the system z Quad System developer can have a freedom in system design and z Remote CCTV Surveillance System reduce the manufacturing cost by using CIF 120fps output mode.
