  • Annual Report
2018ANNUAL REPORT Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Year Ended: June 30, 2018 OUR MISSION The Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation mobilizes people and resources to provide access to high quality care and leads research for a cure so people with pulmonary fibrosis will live longer, healthier lives. pulmonaryfibrosis.org | 844.TalkPFF | @pfforg From the President and CEO, and Board of Directors Chair 2018Dear Friends, As we both assumed new leadership roles with the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation in 2018, we greatly appreciate your support of the organization and our efforts throughout the year. With your help, we successfully expanded the reach and impact of the PFF while facilitating improved care for patients. A tremendous achievement for the PF community was reached with the enrollment of the 2,000th patient in the PFF Patient Registry. Now that the initial enrollment goal has been met, researchers can leverage data from the Registry to study the causes of PF and answer key questions about the disease. Our goal to facilitate better care for patients will be realized sooner because of the Registry’s ability to help us forward understanding of the disease. Also, the Registry may speed the path to completion of clinical trials by creating a pool of patients who are interested in participating. Over time and with additional funding, we plan to enroll additional patients and expand the sources of data gathered for the Registry. In an effort to further stimulate research in the field, we launched a new mentoring program to provide funding to early stage investigators. PFF Scholars will enable promising researchers to obtain independent funding for their cutting-edge research by providing a $50,000 grant over a two-year period.

MEREDITH BAXTER, GINA TORRES AND MARISSA JARET WINOKUR TRY ON LOVE, LOSS, AND WHAT I WORE New Cast Runs Through Aug 29 at the Geffen Playhouse Opening Night is in the Bag with ‘Dress for Success’ Purse Donations LOS ANGELES, July 16, 2010 — After weeks of playing to packed houses, Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron’s Love, Loss, and What I Wore is continuing its Los Angeles run in the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater at the Geffen Playhouse with a new cast through August 29. The new actresses include Meredith Baxter, most recognized for her longtime stint on TV's Family Ties, Gina Torres, best known for her recurring roles on Firefly and Angel, and Marissa Jaret Winokur who won the Tony Award for her leading role in Broadway’s Hairspray. The two remaining actresses will be announced shortly. Love, Loss and What I Wore, an intimate collection of stories covering some of life’s most poignant moments and their corresponding wardrobe, is directed by Jenny Sullivan. The evening of vignettes, which is based on the best-selling book of the same name by Ilene Beckerman as well as personal reminiscences from the Ephrons and their friends, features a rotating cast of five actresses. The newest cast of Love, Loss, and What I Wore begins in previews on August 4 with an official opening on August 5, 2010 and will run through August 29, 2010. The opening night festivities this time around will have a little more focus on the “what I wore” portion of the show – the Geffen Playhouse is partnering with Dress for Success, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing tools to help women thrive in work and in life.
