 We believe that such a transformation will require a new kind of engineer – an engineer that is technically excellent but capable of leading and innovating in a world which is increasingly global and interdisciplinary.

 We believe world changing innovation requires a workplace and a culture which is diverse and inclusive. Why HWCOE?  HWCOE is comprehensive, collaborative and growing Every engineering discipline except architectural and petroleum Hired over 84 tenured/tenure track and 51 lecturers in last 5 years Added Wertheim Laboratory for Engineering Excellence Constructing Data Science and Information Technology Bldg (Malachowsky Hall)

 HWCOE is inventive and translational Last year HWCOE produced more licenses and options than Caltech, Penn State, UNC Chapel Hill, USoCal, University System of Maryland, and the Texas A&M System

 HWCOE is more diverse than many other colleges of engineering #2 producer of engineering degrees to Hispanic students #6 producer of engineering degrees to African American students #6 in master’s degrees and #10 in doctoral degrees for awarded to women College of Engineering  AEROSPACE ENGINEERING  Students  AGRICULTURAL & BIOLOGICAL ENGINEERING  BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING  Undergraduate: 7,892  CHEMICAL ENGINEERING  Graduate 2,571  CIVIL ENGINEERING  COASTAL & OCEANOGRAPHIC ENGINEERING  Total: 10,463  COMPUTER ENGINEERING  COMPUTER SCIENCE  Faculty  DIGITAL ARTS & SCIENCES  ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING  300+ (tenured/tenure track)  ENGINEERING EDUCATION  ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING SCIENCES  16 Degree Programs,  INDUSTRIAL & SYSTEMS ENGINEERING  MATERIALS SCIENCE & ENGINEERING 11 Departments  MECHANICAL ENGINEERING  NUCLEAR ENGINEERING SCIENCES Top 10 National
