The Universities also adhere to the recommendations of the National Association of College and University Business Officers (NACUBO). The Universities are component units of the State of Florida for financial reporting purposes. The financial balances and activities included in these financial statements are, therefore, also included in the State’s comprehensive annual financial report available at www.state.fl.us/audgen/pages/subjects/university.htm. In addition, as required by Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) Statement No. 14, the latest audited financial statements of the State Universities of Florida component units are included in the Statement of Net Assets and the Statements of Revenues, Expenses, and Changes in Net Assets. The accompanying Summary of Significant Accounting Policies and Notes form an integral part of the financial statements. While these statements are unaudited, the Florida Auditor General’s staff is currently completing an individual audit of each university’s financial statements.
