Principal’s Message
The Academies have been awash with events and fantas c ac vi es going on over the past week. From deba ng compe ons to na onal cup netball matches in Cornwall to the Shakespeare Schools Fes val and many more. It is great to see so many students taking these opportuni es and the effort and commitment shown is stunning. We welcomed back the class of 2015 Glenmoor and Winton leavers last week for their annual awards evening. Over 200 students were present with the presenta on of subject trophies and GCSE cer ficates a focal point. Many congratula ons to all award winners and best of luck in Adam Grange presented with the English literature the future. The evenings were a real pleasure and allowed the Academies a last opportunity to and PE Awards say well done and good luck. Just a reminder that we have a year 11 parents evening on the 10 December from 4‐7pm. Please make every effort to a end if you have a son / daughter in that year group. The annual Christmas gala is taking place on the 10 & 11 December. Please buy your ckets now and don't miss out. Many thanks to all parents and carers for their con nuing support towards all aspects of the Academies as we head towards the end of another successful term. This COMES TO SEE HOW WE DO IT Fes val is the biggest arts fes val in Europe with over 35000 pupils par cipa ng across 138 theatres. As part of the fes val, students had a workshop, technical Friday 4 December rehearsal and feedback from professional actors and directors which really gave Year 11 Sexual Health Talks them valuable ps on how to improve their ac ng skills. Students also worked
with professional theatre staff managers and technicians which gave a fantas c insight into how professional theatre operates.
Shark Senses Workshop Year 7 & 8 Christmas Disco
