RECONSTRUCTION AND MODERNIZATION

 Project carrier: Ministry of construction, transport and infrastructure „Infrastructure of the Railways of “j.s.c.  Project title: Project of modernization and reconstruction of the railway track Belgrade - Budapest, section Belgrade - Stara Pazova and section Novi Sad - Subotica - state border (Kelebija)  Investor: „Infrastructure of the Railways of Serbia “j.s.c., Belgrade  Financier: Government of the Republic of Serbia, Belgrade  Contractor: Consortium : JV "CHINA RAILWAY INTERNATIONAL Co., Ltd. " and "CHINA COMMUNICATIONS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY Ltd."  Designer: Traffic Institute CIP , Belgrade in cooperation with TSDI, On the territory of the Republic of Serbia the part of the track that is going to be reconstructed and modified is divided into three section:  Section I :Beograd Centar-Stara Pazova (34,5 km), 350.1 million USD start date November 2017. Planned  Section II: Stara Pazova-Novi Sad (40,4 km), 247,8 for open track and around 337 million for construction site “Čotanovci”  Section III: Novi Sad-Subotica-state border (108.2 km), financial and commercial contract 1,16 billion USD Section I: Beograd- Stara Pazova

Section III: Novi Sad-Subotica-Border with

49 Different objects:bridges,underpasses,overpasses 9 Station reconstruction 3 new station Viaduct 1,6 km Duration time will be 33 months  Project gold: construction,modernization and reconstruction of the part of the existing railway and construction of the new track to provide a double-track railway line for passenger and freight traffic for speeds of to 200 km/h The ultimate goal is to extend the high- speed railway line Belgrade-Budapest to the of Piraeus, also economic development of Hungary, ,North Macedonia and Serbia The significance of the project:

 Part of the main traffic trasferal of the Republic of Serbia and directly connects three out of five largest in the Republic of Serbia.  Near half of the length of the Pan-European Corridor X b Unique European Rail Networks (TEN-T) on the territory of the Republic of Serbia.  A significant segment of the southern arm of the 21st Century Silk Road connecting the maritime-container center of the People's Republic of China to Piraeus and the port of the Far East of Asia, with the countries of South-Eastern, Central and Eastern .  A significant section of the Unified European Railway Network (TEN-T) to as a connection point between the -Asian and Asian networks of the Asian-European Express Railway Line.
