Temporary Closure of Woolston Lane

TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset have made an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Woolston Lane from the junction with Taunton Road, south- eastwards for a distance of 580 metres.

This order will enable Somerset Highways to carry out preparation and resurfacing works in this road.

The Order becomes effective on 10 August 2015 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 8 days, excluding the weekend. While the closure is in operation an alternative route will be signed as detailed below.

ALTERNATIVE ROUTE

From the southern end of the closure proceed in south easterly and north easterly directions along Woolston lane to the junction with Cottiford Road. Turn right and proceed in a south westerly direction along Cottiford Road to the junction with Vellow Wood Cross to Cottiford. Turn right and proceed in a south westerly direction along Vellow Wood Cross to Cottiford to the junction with Vellow Wood Cross to Capton Road. Turn right and proceed in a north westerly direction along Vellow Wood Cross to Capton Road to the junction with Capton Road. Turn right and proceed in a north westerly direction along Capton Road to the junction with Main Road. Turn right and proceed in a north easterly direction along Main Road to the junction with the A358. Turn right and proceed in a south easterly direction along the A358 to the northern end of the closure, and vice versa.
