(TORONTO – February 16, 2012) As Canada’s Got Talent gets ready to take centre stage on Citytv, Rogers Media today announced five key multiplatform sponsorship agreements with iconic brands and leading world-wide companies.

The five sponsors – BlackBerry® maker Research In Motion (RIM), Wrigley’s Excel, ConAgra Foods’ Orville Redenbacher’s, Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures Canada, and The Division of Tourism and Transportation of the Tobago House of Assembly – will receive variations in multiplatform sponsorship integration across Rogers Media platforms, which include television, online and mobile devices. Activations also entail on-site presence, in-show content, brandsell opportunities, billboards and bumpers, in-store point-of-sale, co-branded promotions, and an online microsite within CanadasGotTalent.com.

Canada’s Got Talent premieres Sunday, March 4 at 8 p.m. local time. The weekly one-hour performance show airs Sundays at 8 p.m. local time, with the results show on Mondays at 7 p.m. local time. The series concludes with the finale on May 14 at 7 p.m. local time.

Canada’s Got Talent is the largest national talent search in Canadian television history and will feature a colourful array of hopeful stars, including comedians, contortionists, impressionists, jugglers, magicians, ventriloquists, dancers and singers all vying for a chance to perform on national television and win the coveted title. This original series is a tribute to the rich talents that define and characterize Canada’s diversity.
