Full Itinerary

Day 01: Wakiso District, Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will proceed to clear with immigration and custom formalities. Thereafter, met by our Representative and transferred to Protea Hotel Entebbe.

Day 02: Kibale National Park This day we drive to Kibale Forest Reserve via Mityana and Fort Portal, in a breathtaking landscape that forms the Albertine western Rift Valley. You will have several stop overs to relax, and sightseeing as you pass verdant countryside, traditional homesteads and farms. You will have packed/picnic lunch on the way. Check in and relax for the rest of the evening.

Day 03: Kibale National Park Today you enter the forest in search of the cheeky as well as other primates. Later go for a swamp walk in Bigodi. Return to the lodge for overnight The density and diversity of primates in Kibale National Park is the highest in the whole of Africa. The most well-known of its 13 species are the chimpanzees, our closest relative. Kibale’s 1450 indicate Uganda’s biggest population of this threatened primate. A Uganda safari can enable you to see all these primates. Additionally Kibale is home to the uncommon I’Hoest’s monkey as well as ’s biggest population of the endangered red colobus monkey. The black & white colobus, red tailed monkey, blue monkey, olive baboon, grey cheeked mangabey, bush baby and potto are among the other primates.

Day 04: Queen Elizabeth National Park Depart after breakfast, drive via to Queen Elizabeth National Park, and check in at Mweya safari lodge. Late afternoon game drives returning to the lodge before dusk for dinner and overnight

Day 05: Queen Elizabeth National Park In the early morning have a game drive in Kasenyi area, within Queen Elisabeth National Park, on a look out for the , buffalos, elephants, large numbers of Uganda Kobs and other antelopes. Drive back to the lodge for breakfast, and relax before having lunch. At 1400 hours, go for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel (2 hours approx.), to look out for the hippos, great herds of buffaloes, and lots of water birds.

Day 06: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve In the morning game drive in the Lake Edward flats. This area is a rich bird hide, including the rare shoebill. Other animal species are often seen, like buffalos, sitatungas, elephants that cross from Congo, other antelopes and even lions. After lunch at the camp depart to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorilla. Depending on the availability of gorilla permits you will proceed to one of the following two sectors: Buhoma or Ruhija. The driving time will be between 2 and 3 hours depending on the sector you are heading to.

Day 07: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Reserve Breakfast and take a short transfer to Bwindi NP headquarters where you will meet up with excellent local guides/rangers and trackers, who will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. Thereafter, hike into the forest with your packed lunch. Return to the lodge and free afternoon/evening to relax. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is located in the southwestern part of Uganda on the rim of the Rift Valley. The hillsides which are mist-covered are sheltered by one of the ancient and very biologically varied rainforests in Uganda that dates back to more than 25,000 years, comprising of about 400 varied plant species. More notably, this “impenetrable forest” in addition protects an predictable 320 population of mountain gorillas – approximately half of the population in the world, among which are a number of habituated groups, that can be tracked by visitors. Bwindi is habitat to more than half the world’s population of Mountain Gorillas. Actually there are over 300 mountain gorillas living here.

Day 08: Entebbe - Depart After breakfast, transfer to Kihihi airstrip for your scheduled 0945Hrs flight on Aero link to Entebbe arriving in time for your onward flight.

Passenger Information Luggage is limited to 15kgs per person inclusive of hand luggage on domestic flights. Soft-sided luggage or duffels are preferable to hard luggage for storage on safari vehicles within East Africa. Large suitcases of dimensions greater than 24"x 17"x 7" are impossible to store in vehicles and on aircraft and should not be used. (Baggage and personal effects are at owner's risk throughout the tour and baggage insurance for members is strongly advised).

Booking Terms and Conditions: 30% deposit is required at the time of booking. The balance should be sent at least 40 days prior to tour commencement.

Cancellation and No show charges. Reservations that are cancelled, reduced in length of stay or reduced in numbers (hereinafter collectively called a CANCELLATION) are subject to Cancellation: 60 days to 46 days prior to arrival: 15% 45 days to 35 days prior to arrival: 35% 34 days to 15 days prior to arrival: 50% 14 days to 24hours prior to arrival: 100%
