FANTASTIC NEWS! For a Christmas present I gave a young man “ Brandon Turner” a years sub- scription to YAC It is Young Archaeology Club. Knowing this was something he was interested in, I searched on line and at present there is no Cornwall group but they hope to start one soon. Every quarter you get a magazine.

In the march edition he asked his parents if he could enter a competition to win a days trip to Colchester Castle Museum. All he had to do was write a sentence saying why he would like to work behind the scenes of the Colchester Castle Museum. Here is his entry “I really want to work with the conservators at Colchester Castle Museum be- cause I really, really like history and I would die to examine some genuine Ro- man artefacts, plus I think I would learn a lot and it would help me with my dream of becoming an archaeologist.”

Guess what “HE WON”! Well done Brandon! PAGE 24 PAGE 25
