Burraton A Tag Team boys and 9 girls competed in both track and field events but in the sportshall. It is a great spectator sport although very loud!!! Just be- fore the final event, the boys 4 X 1 relay, St Stephens and Bishop Cor- nish were on equal points! So although they weren’t aware of that, they knew it was close so anticipation was high. Bishop Cornish won, with 2 seconds to spare and have qualified for the level 3 final. The afternoon saw Y5/6 teams coming to compete from SRG, Bishop Cornish, St Stephens, Burraton and Menhenniot. This time, St Stephens were determined to win, and come out on top they did, be- ing 20 points ahead of Bishop Cornish. They too will therefore go to the CSG. Many thanks to Tamar Trotters who helped at the event and whose equipment we used. Tamar Trotters Half Marathon. Children from several primary schools have been running a mile a week at school for the past few weeks in a great initiative set up by Tamar Trotters. The idea is that they run 12 miles prior to the Saltash half marathon on May 3rd. By running the fun run at the event, they will have com- pleted a half marathon themselves and will receive a special medal.
