Dear Parents/Carers

Following my email last night, we have met as a leadership team this morning and updated our plans going forward.

Please remember the latest government advice around the increase to 14 days of self-isolation if anyone in the family has symptoms and the need to increase social isolation. If your child becomes unwell in school, we will call you to collect them. It is really important that we follow this guidance to protect our school community the best we can in these uncertain times. Schools are still being told to remain open and we will aim to do so for as long as we can but I also have a duty of care to our staff and their own families. They may find themselves in a position where they need to self-isolate themselves or their own children or may have family members who fall into vulnerable groups.

As previously mentioned, we have stepped up our cleaning routines and children are following good handwashing routines. In addition, we also ask that parents don't come inside the classrooms/school unless essential and as far as possible phone or email Elaine rather than calling into the office, we are only allowing essential visitors into school.

We currently have a few children off who have presented with a high temperature and are self-isolating as a precaution. We also have three members of staff who are currently off and self-isolating with their families for similar reasons. We appreciate this is a very difficult time for everyone and we are here to support in any way we can.
