from the palace, return a short ►7 Olympic Park - established for the distance along the canal and turn left 1972 Summer Olympics including into Menzinger Strasse, after approx. Olympic Stadium and sports facilities, 300 m cross the Biedersteiner canal bikers enjoying an athletic challenge and turn right into Kuglmüllerstrasse, can ascend the Olympiaberg follow the signs to Olympiapark mountain (564 m), those liking it easier can enjoy the view of the city from the top of the Olympic Tower - possible short detour to BMW Welt and BMW Museum
through the park, continue along the ►8 Petuelpark new park facility above canal in the direction of Petuelpark, to the highway tunnel at Petuelring - Leopoldstrasse, where you turn right possible excursion to the Schwabing to the city center artists’ quarter - Art Nouveau buildings at Münchner Freiheit, art object “Walking Man”
and via the royal boulevard ►9 Siegestor - triumphal arch modeled Ludwigstrasse back to Odeonsplatz on the Arch of Constantine in Rome; and Marienplatz squares separating Leopoldstrasse from Ludwigstrasse, Ludwig-Maximilians University - second largest university in Germany with presently approx. 49,000 students
