ANSWERS TO COMMON QUESTIONS

1. A 50% deposit is required to hold a spot on our calendar. 2. All details must be confirmed 2 weeks prior to your event (guest count, menu, serve time, location, etc…) 3. Gratuity is not included on your bill. That is up to the discretion of the client after the event. We do include a banquet charge that is often confused for gratuity. This charge is commonplace in catering and is used to cover hidden costs necessary for planning and executing your event, such as delivery, set-up, transportation costs including gas, menu proposal, and staff salary, among other things. 4. All staffed event packages include a complimentary walk through with your event captain within 5 days prior to your event. The purpose of this is to confirm all details of your menu one last time and to coordinate where all food and beverage will be set up. If a walk through is not possible, this will be replaced by a phone call with your event captain to go over these things. 5. A preliminary walk through will be granted at no charge if the client or sales rep feel it is necessary in order to draft a proposal. This is typically not necessary, but is offered! 6. We do not offer labor only services. For liability purposes, our staff will only handle food or beverage that SSCC Catering Company provides. 7. We do not rent glassware or flatware unless we are providing the food/beverage. 8. We do rent seating tables/linens/chairs and even cocktail tables.
