Contact: Vanessa Niemann 1+ (504) 450.8216 [email protected] Bio :: A few years ago, no one in New Orleans thought that would again thrive alongside , zydeco and funk, but Vanessa Niemann and David Brouillette of award winning band Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue have proven the naysayers wrong. Having self-released their second studio album, “Set Two” in May of 2010 they spent 2011 traveling back and forth between the Left Coast and the Gulf Coast picking up players along the way. Performing over 150 dates a year with The Honky Tonk Revue and their new, drummed down version of the band which they call The Recessionaires, they show no signs of letting up for 2012. And with dates already on the books, Vanessa and Dave are looking forward to taking the band to new places and old including a trip back to Louisiana for their fifth appearance in a row at the world renowned New Orleans’ Jazz & Heritage Festival.

With a voice that conjures Patsy Cline, a Johnny Cash attitude and a reverence for Merle Haggard and Bob Wills, singer Vanessa Niemann pulls from the best of country, and classics. With the addition of a smattering of songs bordering on the obscure and a few originals thrown in for good measure, she and her band have managed to create a show that is pure American roots. TV/Film appearances :: Featured in a statewide advertising campaign for Louisiana Propane Press Quotes :: "Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue play unapologetic, unvarnished, unhyphenated country music and play it very well. Bring on Set Three." - Jim Beal, Jr., San Antonio Express-News "Pure, pure country and honky tonk sound. But this band isn't about reviving something that's dead and gone. It's simply letting us know that country music is still alive and well. And with outstanding projects from wonderful artists like Gal Holiday, there's no reason to believe that the future for pure honky tonk music is not bright. If this were 1960, Gal Holiday would be ranked on the country music charts right up there with the biggest stars of the genre - and it's where they should stand today." - Marvin O'Dell, Musikode Productions, The Country Campfire, Defenders of Freedom Radio, Albuquerque, NM and KKRN, Redding, CA “The Honky Tonk Revue’s collective ability to render [vintage] music fresh and vital is evident across “Set Two”… The album’s two original compositions, the bittersweet “Louisiana Waltz” and the barnburner “I’m Coming Home,” fit snugly amongst the classic covers.” - Keith Spera, The Times-Picayune, New Orleans, LA “The Louisiana Hayride Lives! Swingabilly New Orleans style from a hot little combo fronted by honey-voiced Holiday.” - offBeat Magazine “To hear Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue is to hear the authentic, quality root of modern rock n’ roll and country that too many fat businessmen in tall glass buildings have bastardized.” - Adam Tustin, Examiner.com • RADIO STATIONS WHO PLAY US ::
