Introduction Week Social Package INTRODUCTION WEEK SOCIAL PACKAGE The Introduction Week Social Package is the evening activity program in week 35 (August 27 – September 1) and is the social supplement to the mandatory daytime activities. As it is a package deal the events will not be available for separate purchase. If you purchase the Introduction Week Social Package, you will receive a blue bracelet after your arrival in Copenhagen, which will be your entrance pass to all the events throughout the week. The bracelet pick-up will take place Monday, August 27 from 12:30-14:30 in front of the Library at Solbjerg Plads. The following events are included in the package: PRICE 500 DKK 2 MEET ’N’ MINGLE This will be a unique opportunity for you to get to know your fellow exchange students. This event is an organized form of “meet ‘n’ mingle” which focuses on meeting a lot of people in a short period of time. You will have a face-to-face conversation with one person and move on to another when a signal is given. Each meeting will last for five minutes. TIME: 19:00 – 22:00 LOCATION: Ovnhallen Porcelænshaven 24 2000 Frederiksberg DIRECTIONS: Take the metro to Fasanvej Station. Make a left onto Nordre Fasanvej (400 meters) until you reach Porcelænshaven on your left. REMINDERS: Beverages can be purchased at very reasonable prices. 3 4 GROUP 1-5 CANAL TOUR Sit back, relax and enjoy this one-hour guided tour through the canals of Copenhagen. The tour will take you through all parts of the old city and pass many of the most famous sights, such as the parliament Christiansborg, the old stock exchange Børsen, the Opera House, the royal castle Amalienborg, and of course the world-renowned statue of the Little Mermaid. TIME: 18:45 – 20:00 LOCATION: DFDS Canal Tours Gl. Strand 26 1202 København K. DIRECTIONS: Take the metro to Kgs. Nytorv Station. Make a right onto Vingårdstræde (250 meters). Continue straight onto Fortunstræde (100 meters) until you reach Gl. Strand. REMINDERS: Please be on time as the boats will not be able to wait. 5 6 GROUP 6-10 DANISH FOLK DANCING Time after time, Danish Folk Dancing is the event in the Exchange Social Program which gets the best feedback. Most of the dances are from around 1780-1880, and were originally danced by farmers and poor people. The dances will be danced at a level so that everyone can participate. A professional folk dancing group will teach you the steps accompanied by a live orchestra. This is not to be missed! TIME: 19:00 – 21:00 LOCATION: Ovnhallen Porcelænshaven 24 2000 Frederiksberg DIRECTIONS: Take the metro to Fasanvej Station. Make a left onto Nordre Fasanvej (400 meters) until you reach Porcelænshaven on your left. REMINDERS: Beverages can be purchased at very reasonable prices. Please bring cash and comfortable shoes. 7 LAKE PARTY After the Danish Folk Dancing lesson and Canal Tour a party has been arranged for you at one of the most famous night clubs in Copenhagen, Søpavillonen. Søpavillonen is located on the shore of the lake Peblingesø in the center of Copenhagen. The night club is exclusively reserved for the Introduction Week Social Package participants. TIME: 22:00 – 03:00 LOCATION: Søpavillonen Gyldenløvesgade 24 1369 København K. DIRECTIONS: Take the metro to Forum Station. Make a right onto Rosenørns Allé (350 meters). Continue straight onto Gyldenløvesgade (50 meters) until you reach Søpavillonen on your left. REMINDERS: There will be free admission from 22:00 until 23:00. Please bring ID and cash for the wardrobe. 8 9 GROUP 6-10 CANAL TOUR Sit back, relax and enjoy this one-hour guided tour through the canals of Copenhagen. The club is exclusively reserved for the Introduction Week Social Package participants. TIME: 22:00 – 03:00 LOCATION: Park Østerbrogade 79 2100 København Ø. DIRECTIONS: Take the metro to Nørreport Station. Take bus number 14 (final stop Klampenborg Station). Get off at Gustav Adolfs Gade (fifth stop). REMINDERS: There will be free admission from 22:00 until 23:00. Please bring ID and cash for the wardrobe. 13 14 MOVIE NIGHT This will be a relaxing evening with a great Danish movie with English subtitles. The comedy “Blinkende Lygter” (Flickering Lights) from 2000 will be shown. The plot is as follows: Torkild is the head of a small gang, pulling small jobs for a gangster known as the “Eskimo”. After his 40th birthday and a botched heist involving 4 million DKK, Torkild and his gang are forced to hide out in an abandoned inn in the middle of nowhere. The gang has to wait only until Peter, who was shot, is well enough to travel, so they can continue on to Barcelona. But after meeting some of the locals and finding moments of peace in this secluded hideaway, Torkild convinces the rest of the gang that staying may be the future for which they are all looking. The gang uses the money to buy the inn and turn it into a restaurant. However they cannot avoid getting caught up by their pasts. TIME: 20:00 – 22:30 LOCATION: SP202 Solbjerg Plads 3 2000 Frederiksberg DIRECTIONS: Take the metro to Frederiksberg Station. Make a right onto Solbjerg Plads (25 meters). REMINDERS: Soda and popcorn will be provided. 15 16 WELCOME DINNER The formal welcome dinner is the big finale of the two introductory weeks. So put on your best 20s/30s dress, bring your dance shoes, and join the greatest swing party ever! A welcome drink and a delicious three-course menu will be served. After the dinner the Chris Tanner band and the dancers “Per Rock" and "Just Joan" will start the party with some swing/jazz thereafter a DJ will take over. This will be an unforgettable night! TIME: 18:00 – 02:00 LOCATION: Ovnhallen Porcelænshaven 24 2000 Frederiksberg DIRECTIONS: Take the metro to Fasanvej Station.     11 September 2019 The opening of Cityringen to be celebrated with great public celebration and free transport After eight years of metro construction, the M3 Cityringen opens on Sunday, 29 September. With the capital's new metro line, public transport will gain a significant boost, and the number of passengers using the Metro is expected to double to 122 million already by 2020. The opening of the new, cohesive metro network is celebrated with great public rejoicing, opening ceremony and free transport for the customers of the Metro. The construction of Cityringen's 17 new metro stations and the testing of the system and the driverless trains is now very close to being completed. This means that the largest unified construction project in Copenhagen in 400 years will soon be completed. Finally, many thousands of patiently waiting passengers can use the newly connected metro network. “When Cityringen opens, we can travel underground to work, family and friends with sustainable, public transport, which will tie the city even better together. It will change Copenhagen's everyday life - and pave the way for an even greener capital. I look forward to celebrating the historic day with a great public celebration,” says Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, Frank Jensen (S).] On Sunday, 29 September, the opening of Cityringen will be celebrated at the City Hall Square.     Transport-og Energiministeriet Københavns Kommune Frederiksberg Kommune Etablering af en Cityring Regeringen, Københavns Kommune og Frederiksberg Kommune har indgået aftale om at udvide den nuværende Metro med etablering af en Cityring i København. Cityringen skal gå i en tunnel under City, brokvartererne og Frederiksberg. Cityringen får 17 underjordiske stationer af samme type, som kendes fra for eksempel Kongens Nytorv. Cityringen får en linieføring, der dækker følgende stationer: Københavns Hovedbanegård, v. Rådhuspladsen, v. Christiansborg, v. Kongens Nytorv, v. Frederikskirken, Østerport Station, v. Trianglen, v. Poul Henningsens Plads, v. Vibenshus Runddel, v. Rådmandsmarken, Nørrebro Station, v. Nørrebros Runddel, v. Landsarkivet, v. Aksel Møllers Have, Frederiksberg Station, v. Platanvej samt på Vesterbro (v. Tove Ditlevsens Plads, v. Enghave Plads eller v. Otto Krabbes Plads). Stationsplaceringen på Vesterbro skal fastlægges nærmere i det videre forløb. Med en Cityring bliver København og Frederiksberg en banebetjent by. I kombination med S-togslinierne og Metroens etape 1-3 kommer der er et finmasket banenet i centrum af hovedstaden. Det betyder, at cirka 85 procent af alle boliger, arbejds- og studiepladser i de tætteste bydele ligger indenfor 600 meters afstand af en Metro eller S-togsstation. For de fleste bliver der mindre end 10 minutters gang til den nærmeste station. I alt vil 180.000 beboere og 187.000 arbejdspladser/studiepladser være i gangafstand fra en Metrostation på Cityringen. Cityringen vil fuldt indkørt få cirka 275.000 passagerer om dagen og samtidig øges passagerantallet på de eksisterende metrolinier lidt. Cityringen bliver en central del af byens kollektive trafik med tog med få minutters mellemrum og korte rejsetider. Cityringen åbner omkring 2017.

Fokus i den berømte rapport var rettet mod byens fysiske udvidelse mod nord, vest og syd, hvor både tog- og motorvejsnettet har sikret, at København i dag stadigvæk fungerer uden voldsomme trafikale problemer sammenlignet med andre store europæiske byer. Metroen fungerer som the missing link på tre måder: For det første kan togpassagerer, der typisk kommer ind i byen via Hovedbanegården eller Nørreport Station, nu fort- sætte deres rejse med metroen ind i byen.

Dette notat indeholder en opgørelse over passagerernes tilfredshed med trygheden på tog- og metrostationer. Dataindsamlingen har fundet sted i forbindelse med dataindsam- lingen til Passagerpulsens Nationale Passager Tilfredshedsundersøgelser (NPT) i perio- den januar 2016 til og med september 2018. Notatet skal ses i sammenhæng med Passagerpulsens to øvrige udgivelser i september 2019: Passagerernes oplevelse af tryghed på togstationer1 Utryghed på stationer2 Notatet kan for eksempel anvendes til at identificere de stationer, hvor relativt flest passa- gerer føler sig trygge eller utrygge med henblik på at fokusere en eventuel indsats der, hvor behovet er størst. Vi skal i den forbindelse gøre opmærksom på, at oplevelsen af utryghed kan skyldes forskellige forhold fra sted til sted. For eksempel de andre personer, der færdes det pågældende sted eller de fysiske forhold på stedet.
