I don’t go to my country very often, was fun to be with the family and then come back to work. 7.07 ITV Niccolo Nalio I stayed with my girlfriend at home, with my RC model and go-kart and nothing else 7.12 ITV Mikko Pakari At Christmas I was in Lapland for training and having fun 7.21 ITV Alex Riberas It’s important to relax during the holidays, recharge you batteries, and prepare for the season... 7.32 ITV Oliver Rowland You’ve got to relax, I went on holiday for a week . 7.40 ITV Stefan Wackerbauer Nobody knows me so they’re all curious to see what I can do, but we will see during the season 7.53 ITV Alex Riberas I think we have a good relationship, it’s important to create a good environment so we can work together and push ourselves and perform well. At the moment it’s nice . 8.12 ITV Oscar Tunjo I think we are all friends outside the track, but with the helmet on we are rivals and we want to win. Let’s allow the team bosses to introduce their young talent... 9.32 ITV Afa HEIKKINEN (FIN) Team Manager Koiranen Motorsport (in English) Car 1 is Patrick Kujala, he’s half-Finnish driver – that’s one reason why we signed him, we’re from Finland, but he’s also a talented driver. Car 2 is Esteban Ocon also very young straight from karting - he’s part of the Lotus F1 Junior Programme, big talent from karting – we hope to develop him as a future champion. Then we have 2 Red Bull cars Daniil Kvyat – a 2 nd year driver – he was 3 rd in Eurocup last year so the main goal is to win with him. Then number 4 is Stefan Wackerbauer from BMW Talent Cup which he won last year, that’s why he’s stepping up 10.25 ITV Simon ABADIE (FRA) Team Manager Koiranen Motorsport (in French) We have 4 drivers in Eurocup – one rookie, 3 returning. 1 st is Paul-Loup Chatin – our favourite, he returns, he drove with us last year he won a race in Eurocup and 3 ALPS, he ended the season superbly. Also returning is Oscar Tunjo – who is also very quick, making big progressions. Those are the two favourites in the team. Then there’s Roman Mavlanov – he has a bit less experience than the others, doing his apprenticeship, getting better and better, and finally we have Matthieu Vaxiviere – a debutant – who won Formula 4, who’s taking big steps.     Lotus F1 Team Preview Introduction by Gerard Lopez Forward Progress The Lotus F1 Team Chairman sets out the team’s ambitions for the year ahead. New season, new name. We are very proud to kick off our 2012 campaign under the name of Lotus F1 Team, continuing with the evocative black and gold livery which made such a well-received return to Grands Prix in 2011. As well as a new name for the team we have a new chassis designation: E20. The E is for Enstone, our state of the art Formula 1 facility nestled in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside. More specifically, it’s for the personnel that make up Enstone to highlight the pride we have in every single employee who shares our beliefs and goals. We have two new race drivers too, with Romain Grosjean promoted to a race seat after impressing us with his potential after just two Friday runs in the car in 2011. Racing alongside Romain will be 2007 Formula 1 World Champion Kimi Räikkönen. After two years contesting the World Rally Championship Kimi returns to Formula 1 fresh for a new challenge, and with 156 Grand Prix race starts, 18 wins and one world championship we are convinced that Kimi will provide a vital ingredient in driving us forwards. In 2011 we pushed on with developments behind the scenes, and the addition of the 60% wind tunnel which was implemented during the course of last season should pay dividends for this year’s car. We’re not standing still either, and our next exciting resource to go online will be a ‘Driver in the Loop’ simulator to enhance our assets at Enstone yet further.
