01.10 JINGLE - WORLD OF SHOW

1.14 VO The beginning of a new season welcomes a new ambassador... 4- time Formula 1 World Champion Alain Prost

1.29 ITV Alain Prost (in French) It’s a unique series, firstly because it’s free, open to the public, the only one in the world. You get the impression you’ve travelled back to a period we knew 30 years ago, when we get to the circuit, everyone is there, eating sandwiches, spectators can talk to you, that era didn’t last long! We have this convivial side to the events, for families... people stay at the circuit a long time, meanwhile you have exceptional competition, professional to the point that today’s Formula 1 drivers often come from the 3.5

Renault Sport Technologies Tél. : +33 (0)1 76 82 82 00 Z.A. Courtaboeuf Fax. : 33 (0)1 76 82 83 75 14, avenue des Tropiques Internet : www.renault-sport.com 91 978 Courtaboeuf Cedex - France

2.12 ITV Patrice Ratti – Managing Director Renault Sport Technologies (in French) 14 drivers out of the 24 on the Formula 1 grid have passed through our ranks, obviously Sebastien Vettel, but also the 3 French drivers who are now in Formula 1 – that’s very satisfying for us but it’s also proof of how serious and effective this formula is.

2.33 ITV Alain Prost (in French) In my opinion, It is distinct from other series because it clearly a, well, no motorsport is cheap, but it is reasonable to race on this budget, and the sporting equipment is equal which you get nowhere else. There are always slight differences between the teams and their set-ups but you know there are no major differences, in other disciplines it’s not so easy to assess the potential of new drivers.

3.05 VO The Formula Renault 3.5 Series is now more than ever THE gateway to F1. This year, Formula Renault 3.5 is changing: the car is more modern, more powerful; with the latest developments in technology it is even closer to Formula 1. After Vettel, Kubica, Alguersuari, Ricciardo and Vergne this season, who will be next to reach the pinnacle?

28 drivers compete for a title that may open the ultimate door... For the very best, like Robert Wickens in 2011, a test with Team Red Bull Racing Renault.

3.41 ITV Patrice Ratti – Managing Director Renault Sport Technologies (in French) The new formula Renault 3.5 is closer than ever to Formula 1 with notably DRS the Megane Trophy has nearly 400 horsepower, plus we are going to Russia, near Moscow – that will be a big event, the first major motorsport event ever in Russia.

3.59 VO Here’s the 2012 Calendar in full: Motorland, Spain... Monaco... SPA Francorchamps... Nurburgring Germany... Moscow... Silverstone GB... Hungaroring Hungary... Paul Ricard in France... season finale in Catalunya...

4.18 VO Eurocup Formula Renault 2.0, is the best driving school in the world! For these young hopefuls aged 16 to 19 years, it is the gateway to the highest level in the best conditions. Kimi Raikkonen, Lewis Hamilton, , have all cut their teeth ...... In these 505kg cars producing 210 horsepower by Renault Sport Technologies

4.45 VO The Eurocup Mégane Trophy in the World Series by Renault is The GT by Renault!

Gentlemen drivers and professional racers compete side by side at the wheel of a V6 3.5L 400 hp prototype, weighing less than one tonne, fuelled by pure adrenaline!

Who will succeed Switzerland’s Comini – the winner in 2011? Many will try, and the top three will share 175,000 Euros.

5.08 ITV Alain Prost (in French) Also you can see production cars like on the road - the Megane, The Clios – plus competition in equal vehicles means fairer racing than elsewhere..

5.20 VO The Eurocup Clio Trophy –8 races to find a champion for 2012.

After the victory of Nicolas Milan last season, Eurocup Clio is looking for a new leader, and the pack attempting to claim this title look explosive.

At the wheel of these Clio-RS-derived firecrackers are professional racers and gentlemen drivers, with spectacular competition guaranteed.

Up for grabs: a prestigious crown and a 60,000 Euro Prize.

5.41 VO As well as a track full of drama, there is a paddock full of fun, a festival atmosphere, plus incredible exhibitions from Renault’s long motoring history

05.59 JINGLE FUNNY PADDOCK

6.03 VO Since the season broke up at the end of last year... (Bell) for many this is like the first day back at school... (music, do not speak)

6.41 ITV Oscar Tunjo I spent the winter in Columbia, few days there, was fun to be back at home. I don’t go to my country very often, was fun to be with the family and then come back to work.

7.07 ITV Niccolo Nalio I stayed with my girlfriend at home, with my RC model and go-kart and nothing else

7.12 ITV Mikko Pakari At Christmas I was in Lapland for training and having fun

7.21 ITV Alex Riberas It’s important to relax during the holidays, recharge you batteries, and prepare for the season...

7.32 ITV Oliver Rowland You’ve got to relax, I went on holiday for a week .

7.40 ITV Stefan Wackerbauer

Nobody knows me so they’re all curious to see what I can do, but we will see during the season

7.53 ITV Alex Riberas I think we have a good relationship, it’s important to create a good environment so we can work together and push ourselves and perform well. At the moment it’s nice .

8.12 ITV Oscar Tunjo

I think we are all friends outside the track, but with the helmet on we are rivals and we want to win. Everyone wants to be at the front, but just one can win... we have to do our best and try to win...

PART 2

09.12 JINGLE TEAMS PARADE

9.16 VO This year’s Formula 2.0 will be a very full grid, with 13 teams and over 40 drivers. Let’s allow the team bosses to introduce their young talent...

9.32 ITV Afa HEIKKINEN (FIN) Team Manager Koiranen Motorsport (in English) Car 1 is Patrick Kujala, he’s half-Finnish driver – that’s one reason why we signed him, we’re from Finland, but he’s also a talented driver. Car 2 is Esteban Ocon also very young straight from karting - he’s part of the Junior Programme, big talent from karting – we hope to develop him as a future champion. Then we have 2 Red Bull cars Daniil Kvyat – a 2 nd year driver – he was 3 rd in Eurocup last year so the main goal is to win with him. Then number 4 is Stefan Wackerbauer from BMW Talent Cup which he won last year, that’s why he’s stepping up

10.25 ITV Simon ABADIE (FRA) Team Manager Koiranen Motorsport (in French) We have 4 drivers in Eurocup – one rookie, 3 returning. 1 st is Paul-Loup Chatin – our favourite, he returns, he drove with us last year he won a race in Eurocup and 3 ALPS, he ended the season superbly. Also returning is Oscar Tunjo – who is also very quick, making big progressions. Those are the two favourites in the team. Then there’s Roman Mavlanov – he has a bit less experience than the others, doing his apprenticeship, getting better and better, and finally we have Matthieu Vaxiviere – a debutant – who won Formula 4, who’s taking big steps.

Renault Sport Technologies Tél. : +33 (0)1 76 82 82 00 Z.A. Courtaboeuf Fax. : 33 (0)1 76 82 83 75 14, avenue des Tropiques Internet : www.renault-sport.com 91 978 Courtaboeuf Cedex - France

11.24 ITV Jamie DYE (GBR) Team Manager Fortec Motorsport (in English) We have the experience of Oliver Rowland, HE’ done one year in UK, finished runner up in his first year of car-racing, so he’s a good championship hope for us. Second driver is Edward Jones he was with us last year, he did half the season combined with BMW Intersteps Championship. Third driver is Nick Cassidy from New Zealand who won the Toyota championship there over the winter so we feel he’s a strong driver for us. And we’re pleased to have Mikko Pakari from Finland – it’s his first year of car-racing - he’s been karting through all the championships and been very successful, so we’re happy our line-up should take us to the top.

12.16 ITV Lars KAUFMANN Team Manager Josef Kaufmann Racing (in English) This year we have 3 new drivers: , Alex Riberas and Pieter Schothorst. Stoffel finished 5 th last year in Eurocup so we contacted him after the season, we did a couple of test days and he did very well so we signed him for this year. Same with Alex Riberas – he was 6 th last year, impressive after testing, same with Pieter Schothorst he convinced us during testing days, and that’s why we chose these 3 drivers... and at the moment, everything looks fine and we are progressing like we want to.

12.58 JINGLE F1 ABC

13.02 VO The highest category in World Series By Renault is the Formula 3.5, which this year is even closer to Formula 1. Compared to the 2011 car, it’s 15kg lighter, 50bhp more powerful and has a new drag-reduction system

13.22 ITV Benoit Dupont: Renault Sport Circuit Technical Manager (in French) This year will be very interesting, with the arrival of the new 3.5 which has been met with approval from all the teams and drivers, a new higher level of professionalism, the drivers are very aware it’s a true step to Formula 1.

13.44 ITV Lewis Williamson (in English) The car has a lot more horsepower, greater downforce – big difference - the DRS means you can use more downforce, and then when you get to the straights you can get rid of that. Best of both worlds, which is good. Lot faster on the straights, the car has a good vibe.

Renault Sport Technologies Tél. : +33 (0)1 76 82 82 00 Z.A. Courtaboeuf Fax. : 33 (0)1 76 82 83 75 14, avenue des Tropiques Internet : www.renault-sport.com 91 978 Courtaboeuf Cedex - France

14.08 VO That’s Lewis Williamson, already a Red Bull Junior driver with his sights on F1. is reserve driver for Force India, and has just arrived fresh from China where he drove the Formula 1 car during Free Practice.

14.28 ITV JULES BIANCHI (in French) Formula 1 is something very special, but F3.5 is great mechanically and aerodynamically, a bit less horsepower than F1 but it’s a lovely car and it’s great to drive in this series to become a driver in Formula 1.

14.47 VO At 18 years old, last year Kevin Korjus became the youngest ever winner of a Formula 3.5 race, with a victory in Motorland. How does the new car measure up?

15.02 ITV KEVIN KORJUS (in English) The step is massive, you can feel it everywhere on the brakes on the corners on the straight line, big step. Feels much better cos you can push everywhere much more – it’s a pleasure to drive this car.

15.24 VO This is Nico Muller, in his rookie season of F3.5:

15.29 ITV Nico MULLER (in French)

They’ve changed a lot, mainly the DRS, the performance, the engine, the brakes, all improved, and I take great pleasure driving this car. The performance of the car is surprising, it’s 3 or 4 and a half seconds quicker and you feel it on the track, and that’s cool!

16.03 ITV Benoit Dupont: Renault Sport Circuit Technical Manager (in French) It is clear that this year the level of 3.5 is greatly elevated, so much so that most of the Formula 1 Young Driver Programmes have chosen to place their drivers with us, we’ve seen Ricciardo & Vergne who have joined F1 this year. Formula 1 uses Formula 3.5 truly to prepare young drivers coming from karting.

16.42 JINGLE END OF PART

Renault Sport Technologies Tél. : +33 (0)1 76 82 82 00 Z.A. Courtaboeuf Fax. : 33 (0)1 76 82 83 75 14, avenue des Tropiques Internet : www.renault-sport.com 91 978 Courtaboeuf Cedex - France

PART 3

16.50 JINGLE LITTLE BIG CLIO

16.58 VO After its exciting 1 st season in 2011, the Eurocup Clio is back... Effectively the champions league of Clio Cup, dozens of drivers will fill the grid with these feisty 4-cylinder 2-litre saloons...

17.29 ITV Marc GUILLOT (FRA) in French It’s a very efficient car in the quick corners, and on the brakes... could have a bit more power, but it is a devilishly good ride... and the races are always interesting, playing for tenths or hundredths of a second, and that is the charm of the Eurocup Clio

17.58 ITV Jordi PALOMERAS (ESP) in Spanish To describe the Clio – it has the perfect balance between price and quality, it’s a true road-car, fast, great brakes, perfect solution for what we’re seeking

18.23 ITV Robert VAN DEN BERG (in English) It’s a good car to drive, nice to drive, fast car, nice car.

18.34 ITV Salvatore ARCARESE (ROM) in English It’s the maximum competition Clip Cup – so it’s a chance for me to prove my skills.

18.40 VO They are trying to follow the example of inaugural Eurocup Clio champion from last year, Nicolas Milan...

18.57 ITV Nicolas MILAN (FRA) in French I won the Eurocup Clio last year and thanks to that i could step up a category to Megane Trophy, with the help of Renault Sport and Ellip6 – who make simulators – so I got a nice present to drive this Megane Trophy car the whole season. The real difference is the Megane is twice the power of the Clio, it’s rear-wheel drive where the Clio is front-wheel drive... I need to adapt, and I hope it will go well. The World Series by Renault is an extraordinary meeting for drivers, you have all the categories, lots of spectators an amazing ambience – it’s very much the place drivers have to be, and I’m very happy to be able to continue these weekends.

20.09 JINGLE MY TROPHY

Renault Sport Technologies Tél. : +33 (0)1 76 82 82 00 Z.A. Courtaboeuf Fax. : 33 (0)1 76 82 83 75 14, avenue des Tropiques Internet : www.renault-sport.com 91 978 Courtaboeuf Cedex - France

20.13 VO The appeal of the Europcup Megane Trophy is even greater than ever, and pre-season testing sees an old friend returning – current GT1 World Championship driver Nick Catsburg is here to help Michael Munemann, and it’s a happy return for the former Megane Trophy champion

20.43 ITV Nick Catsburg (NED) in English The events of World Series By Renault to me is the best racing event out there at the moment. It’s the only event where people really come and watch, you have big events behind the pits also loads of stuff to do for little children. I think it’s the best event out ther at the moment.

21.04 ITV Bas SCHOTHORST (NED) In English Well it’s an absolutely amazing car to race. Because It’s a real race car so it’s built for racing, it has a fast engine, it’s very light. It actually drives like a Playstation game. Which makes it good fun. And the good thing about World Series is the international races, nice tracks, nice activities around, many people and highly competitive races .

21.35 ITV David DERMONT (BEL) in French This year will be very competitive – I think the top 6 or 7 cars in this class will battle hard for victories, in some really tight races. It’s one of the only championships that puts gentlemen drivers like this to the front, with their own podiums in front of thousands of people, it’s lovely – you can’t get a podium in Formula 1, but you can get a podium in World Series

22.01 VO A newcomer to the Megane – but no stranger to World Series By Renault – is Albert Costa...

22.16 ITV Albert COSTA (SPA) in English Everybody says “you started here in 2008 in Renault 2.0, you won the championship in 2009, then you were in World Series 2010 & 2011... and this year you will race in Megane Trophy! You race in all categories!” I think I am the first driver in the world to drive all categories and now I will try to win a race, and be the first driver to win a race in every championship. And of course I want to win the championship as I want to be in World Endurance Racing...

Renault Sport Technologies Tél. : +33 (0)1 76 82 82 00 Z.A. Courtaboeuf Fax. : 33 (0)1 76 82 83 75 14, avenue des Tropiques Internet : www.renault-sport.com 91 978 Courtaboeuf Cedex - France

23.01 VO But how has he been affected by the shift from open-wheel single-seaters to tintops?

23.14 ITV Albert COSTA (SPA) in English Completely the opposite of what I was racing last year, it’s outside car and inside car. At least it’s four wheels – but it’s another world, like slow-motion. I’m trying to learn as fast as possible, my objective is to win the championship at the first attempt. We’ll see what happens. I’m fast as we know, but I’m still trying to learn about this car slowly slowly, we need to improve and learn. The car is so big, so hot - with underwear, helmet, closed, no wind, all the time sweaty in the helmet, everything is wet. The grip, the brakes in the Formula 3.5 is amazing. You can brake as late as possible. I really miss the grip and downforce in the corners – with this car you have to brake and you have to wait. I don’t like that! I just want to go flat out into the corner like in F3.5 but I can’t do that in this car!

24.22 VO His progress should at least be in good hands... Behind Albert and his car is the Oregon Team – the 2011 champion manufacturer

24.40 ITV Albert COSTA (SPA) in English They said to me 2 nd day of testing OK Albert you are now part of the family. I speak Italian perfectly so the feeling with the team is perfect.

25.05 JINGLE COMING SOON

25.09 VO And so... everything is ready for the season to begin. Join us again as World Series by Renault kicks off with the first race weekend at Motorland, in Spain, on the 5 th & 6 th May. Until then – thanks for watching.
