Due to flight schedules, overseas participants may have to stay for another night near Zurich airport and leave on Saturday morning. In order to reach the Monte Verità Centre in Ascona, whether you fly or travel by train from within Europe, you must first get to Locarno, the closest railway station to Ascona. (Note that Locarno should not be mixed with Lugano, another city in the south part of Switzerland). From Zurich to Locarno Participants travelling from outside of Switzerland should first travel to Zurich (if you arrive by plane fly to Zurich-Airport (ZRH). The easiest way to reach Zurich Main Station (or Zürich Hauptbahnhof, often shortened to Zürich HB) from the Zurich airport is to take a train (every 10-15 minutes, duration 10 minutes). He developed his passion for painting as a scholar of several artists from Ticino (Fernando Pozzi, Fausto Corda, Marco Gurtner and Manlio Monti).
