Neighbourhood Plan - Regulation 16 Publication

The Axbridge Neighbourhood Plan has been formally submitted to Sedgemoor District Council.

Sedgemoor District Council is satisfied that this submission meets with the requirements of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended) and in accordance with those regulations, as the Local Planning Authority, are publicising the plan for a period of six weeks from 19 July 2021 to 30 August 2021.

The submitted Axbridge Neighbourhood Plan contains proposed planning policies relevant to the designated neighbourhood area. The Neighbourhood Plan if adopted, will form part of the Development Plan for the area, and will guide future development within the Neighbourhood Plan area.

The submitted plan and associated documents are available for inspection on our website during the consultation period at: https://www.sedgemoor.gov.uk/article/1291

How to comment

Representations are invited on the Neighbourhood Plan by 5.00pm, 30 August 2021:

Representations may include a request to be notified of the Local Planning Authority's decision under Regulation 19 in relation to the Neighbourhood Development Plan. Please note that the Decision Statement will also be published on our website as soon as it is available.

Representations made at this stage will be forwarded to the person carrying out the examination of the plan, when they are appointed.

Environmental Assessment

Draft iterations of the Axbridge Neighbourhood Plan have been screened in consultation with the statutory environmental bodies, in accordance with Part II of The Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004 to determine whether it is likely to have significant environmental effects, and hence triggering the need for SEA. Separately, it was screened in accordance with the Habitat Regulations to determine whether Appropriate Assessment was necessary.

Sedgemoor District Council has determined that the submitted Axbridge Neighbourhood Plan is not likely to have significant environmental effects and that an environmental

1 assessment is not required in respect of the draft plan. The Determination under Regulation 9(1) and the accompanying Statement is available to view and download on our website.
