Campus Recreation touch football - Rules & Regulations

TOUCH FOOTBALL WILL BE ON TUESDAYS AT THE DOME BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 11AM- 5:00PM

With the exception of the rules below, the rules of the NFFC Official Rule Book are in effect throughout the Indoor Season and Play-offs. It is the responsibility of the Team Captains to advise team members of the following rules.

1. Team Captains must insure that all players are full time students with a valid Algonquin student I.D. card. Players may be added or deleted on additional rosters. (Maximum of 6 players on the field – including the Q.B.)

2. Games consist of (2) 23 minute halves + the (5) plays with automatic change at the half to scrimmage the ball. Teams may choose to have their bench at the same end. (5 attempts per possession)

3. Each team may call (1) 20 second time out per half – but the clock does not stop.

4. Team Captains must always update players information and hand in to the official (5) minutes prior to game time. Stats will be posted weekly on www.algonquinsa.com

5. If a punt goes into or through the , scrimmage will take place from the (10) yard line with no point being awarded. Also, only the receiving team may/ must be allowed to down a punt. Officials will not police the 5 yard restraining rule on punts.

6. It should be noted that the ball is dead when it hits the roof (or part of such as an air duct or identified wires) on a pass. The ball is also dead where and when it hits the same on a punt.

7. There are no kick-offs in Indoor Football; Instead teams will scrimmage the ball from their own (10) yard line to start the game, after a or safety touch.

8. games stay tied in the regular season. In play-offs, sudden death 1st missed converts after both team tries will be in effect.

9. Absolutely no rough play will be tolerated. Players must be in control of their actions at all times. Roughing, Pass interference, and objectionable conduct are all (10) yard penalties. All others are (5) yard penalties.

10. Scoring: 6 pts for a touch down i. 1 pt for a 5 yard conversion ii. 2 pts for a 10 yard conversion iii. 2 pts for a safety

11. Default: not having a minimum of (5) players at game time. (5 minute grace period)
