OSBA Encerra &Quot SecultBA - Secretaria de Cultura - Governo do Estado da Bahia - OSBA encerra "Ciclo Brahms" sob regência de maestro inglês Cultura Postado em: 14/11/2017 11:30 Maestro Neil Thomson, titular da Filarmônica de Goiás, será o regente no concerto de 16/11, às 20h, no TCA Foto: Divulgação A OSBA encerra este mês seu “Ciclo Brahms”, projeto que abraça o desafio de apresentar ao público as quatro sinfonias do compositor alemão Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) na atual temporada. O concerto, que integra a Série Jorge Amado 2017, acontece no próximo dia 16 de novembro, quinta-feira, às20h, na Sala Principal do TCA, tendo desta vez como regente convidado o maestro inglês Neil Thomson, regente titular e diretor artístico da OrquestraFilarmônica de Goiás. O repertório da noite destaca a “Sinfonia nº 1 em Dó Menor, Op. 68”, primeira das sinfonias compostas pelo mestre alemão Johannes Brahms (1833-1897), mas a última apresentada nessa série de concertos idealizada pela Sinfônica da Bahia. Para completar o programa, a obra “Suitemdó”, do compositor baiano Lindembergue Cardoso (1939-1989). Os ingressos para apresentação custam R$ 20,00 (inteira) e R$ 10,00 (meia) e as vendas terão início nesta quinta-feira, dia 09 de novembro. As entradas podem ser adquiridas nas bilheterias do Teatro Castro Alves, nos postos dos SAC’s Shopping Barra e Shopping Bela Vista ou ainda através do site da Ingresso Rápido. Neil Thomson (Regente convidado) – Neil Thomson nasceu em Londres em 1966, estudou violino e viola na Royal Academy of Music (1984-1987) e regência com Norman Del Mar no Royal College of Music (1987-1989). Já regeu concertos com consagrados solistas incluindo Sir James Galway, Moura Lympany, Sir Thomas Allen, Sarah Chang, Antonio Meneses, Nelson Freire, Steven Isserlis, Julian Lloyd Webber, David Geringas, Natalie Clein, Brett Dean, Jean-Philippe Collard, Stephen Hough, Jean-Louis Steuerman, entre outros. Neil já conduziu as principais orquestras do Reino Unido. Recentes estreias incluem concertos com a Filarmônica de Tóquio, a Orquestra Sinfônica Yomiuri Nippon, Orquestra Sinfônica Brasileira, Orquestra Sinfônica de Munique,Orquestra Sinfônica Nacional da Irlanda, Desde 2014, é Regente Titular e Diretor Artístico da Orquestra Filarmônica de Goiás. OSBA - Nova gestão – Após a consolidação do processo de publicização, a Associação de Amigos do Teatro Castro Alves (ATCA), Organização Social sem fins lucrativos, se torna responsável pela gestão da Orquestra Sinfônica da Bahia (OSBA).     Neil Thomson — Biografia Neil Thomson é um dos mais respeitados e versáteis maestros britânicos de sua geração. Nascido em 1966, estudou com Norman Del Mar na Royal College of Music em Londres e mais tarde em Tanglewood, com Leonard Bernstein e Kurt Sanderling. Pelly Concert Orchestra News HMS Pinafore 30 October 2010 The Pelly Orchestra was delighted to have the opportunity to play with Grosvenor Light Opera Company at the end of October. The performance was „from scratch‟ and was semi-staged in St Gabriel‟s Church, Pimlico. This was a new experience for the orchestra and proved that we can adapt ourselves to a new setting and role. It was fun to be part of this vibrant production and the singers enjoyed performing with such an enthusiastic and competent orchestra. Playday 27 February 2011 Come and play with the Pelly Concert Orchestra for the day in February when our third Playday will be taking place at Farnborough Hill. The programme will include: Pictures at an Exhibition – Mussorgsky, The Pines of Rome – Respighi and La Mer – Debussy.     CLASSICAL SEASON 2020 / 21 Welcome Our Classical Season 2020/21 offers an exciting vision for classical music, now and for years to come. We welcome three award-winning musicians as our new Associate Artists. Our four resident orchestras, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and the London Sinfonietta, present series jam-packed with outstanding music – including farewell seasons from the LPO’s Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor Vladimir Jurowski, and Principal Conductor and Artistic Advisor of the Philharmonia, Esa-Pekka Salonen. As part of their final seasons, both conductors will exploit the dramatic possibilities of the Royal Festival Hall, with a complete Wagner Ring Cycle from Jurowski and a concert staging of Strauss’ Elektra from Salonen. The great pianist Daniel Barenboim returns to our much-loved hall and we are also proud to present Europe’s oldest civic orchestra, the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig. I look forward to seeing you here, at the beating heart of classical music in London. Higgins, President of Ireland A welcome note It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra 2017/2018 concert season during which we celebrate the orchestra’s 70th anniversary. From the start, the Irish Free State broadcaster 2RN (later Raidió Éireann) always supported a music ensemble. The first manifestation of this commitment was the ‘Clery’s Instrumental Trio’ which by 1948 had grown into a new orchestra. 02 Under the baton of Jean Martinon, and led by Florentine violinist Renzo Marchionni, the first concert by the Raidió Éireann Symphony Orchestra took place at the Phoenix Hall on February 14th 1948. Since then the orchestra has continued to grow in reputation to create a unique place for classical music within contemporary Irish culture. At the core of each performance is you, the orchestra’s loyal audience. We value your support and always welcome feedback on our programmes and performances. We hope you enjoy and continue to support your national orchestra. This season we are honoured to welcome the hugely talented Nathalie Stutzmann as our Principal Guest Conductor.
