GIRLGUIDING DIVISION HEADQUARTERS.

Before you go please allow time to:

Remove food from fridge/freezer

Bins must be emptied and the bin liners replaced BROOK HOUSE

Check all lights are turned off

Lock all windows and close all doors

Switch off central heating in the hall, gas fire in the front room and make sure the central heating Control in the kitchen is on “timed”

Switch off the cookers and unplug and toaster

Lock all external doors and the gate.

BROOK HOUSE is the property of Girlguiding Burton upon Trent Churches Division and serves as the Division Headquarters. St. Pauls C. of E. near the Town Hall St. Aidans C. of E. on Shobnall Road Accommodation comprises the following:- St. Modwens Catholic , Union Street, Burton.

 BADEN POWELL ROOM – a large first floor room approximately Transport 15’ x 30’. Heating is by radiator and gas fire Bus services: Arriva

 KITCHEN – New kitchen with ample worktops and storage, large Railway Station 5 minutes walk down Wellington Street, turn fridge/freezer, two cookers, toaster, cooking equipment, Right at Town Hall cutlery and crockery supplied. Doctors  HALL – Large hall 25’ x 45’ suitable for large meetings, Out of hours phone BURDOC Tel:01283 0300 1303030 courses, games etc. Heated by warm air system. NHS Direct Call 24 hours Tel: 0845 46 47 Dentist:  BEDROOMS – three heated bedrooms are available with bunk Cross Street Clinic, in Burton Tel: 01283 50 58 10 beds to sleep 16 plus two single beds and 8 mattresses. There are 15 camp beds available also. – A & E Tel: 01283 566333 Queens Hospital, Belvedere Road, Burton upon Trent  Please bring bedding. Toilets and wash basins are adjacent. The Guide Depot is open each Monday evening during term time  SHOWERS – Two hot showers are available on the ground floor. 7 – 9pm The Scout Shop is open each Thursday evening during term time  DISABLED TOILET AND SHOWER – is available on the ground 7 – 9pm floor.

Shobnall Recreation Ground is a short walk away, with football pitches, Camp Adviser: Please contact Julie Atton tennis courts, play areas and other attractions. 79 Westfield Road, Burton upon Trent, Staffs. DE13 0TL The town centre is less than a mile away with a variety of shops. Tel: (01283) 531291 The Meadowside Trim Trail is situated by the river. Castle is a short bus ride away. Keys: The Letting Secretary will arrange for the collection of the Keys. The Shobnall Marina is 500 yards to the west on the B5017 Theme Park is located near Alton village 20 miles north west. Conkers Outdoor Centre is 10 miles away.

Letting Charges CONDITIONS OF LETTING: l. Lettings are not permissible until the letting form has been completed and has been confirmed by the Letting Secretary. All telephone bookings must be confirmed within 3 days. Overnight accommodation per person per night Division £3.90 2 .Damage to property and equipment, breakages or less thereof, must be reported to the Letting Secretary. Occupants will be Outside users £4.20 expected to pay for extraneous damage to property and equipment and breakages must be recorded in the breakages book. Day/evening (per hour) 3 .All equipment brought on to the premises including electrical, is Division £4.60 used at your own risk. Outside users £7.60 4 .Accidents on site involving injury to any person or damage to third party property must be notified to the Letting Secretary and Sleepovers appropriate accident forms completed. Division £5.70 Outside users £6.15 5 Occupants are asked to use the Notice Boards provided only, and not to fix notices to walls or paintwork. Please to not use “Blu-tack” Minimum overnight charge £45 per night. The charge will also apply for use of the premises for only part of the night, e.g. an overnight hike.

£20 administration fee is non returnable and required for all overnight bookings

Fees must be submitted to the Letting Secretary within 14 days.

Cheques should be make payable to “Guide Association (Burton upon Trent Division) H.Q.” A receipt will be issued.
