Na generalidade dos estudos já realizados acerca da TD, os outcomes são maioritariamente analisados para o doente terminal. À data da presente pesquisa bibliográfica não havia, no entanto, nenhuma revisão sobre o impacto da TD nos familiares de doentes paliativos, nomeadamente no que respeita à sua possível contribuição para a redução do seu sofrimento total. Objetivo: Desenvolver uma revisão sistemática da literatura para explorar se a TD tem efeitos na redução do sofrimento total dos familiares de doentes em cuidados paliativos.
