Day 1 : BANGKOK - AYUTTHAYA - NAKHON SAWAN - SUKHOTHAI (B/L/-)

07:00 hours In the morning pick up from your Bangkok city hotel and transfer to Ayutthaya Historical Park. Ayutthaya once was the capital of the Siamese kingdom, until it was occupied by the Burmese army in 1767 army and practically leveled to the ground. Located on the west bank of the visit the restored ruins of the Wat Chai Wattanaram is one of Ayutthaya's most photographed sites. Then visit Wat Phra Sri Sanphet - the prototypes of the famous Grand Palace in Bangkok; Wat Phra Mongkol Borphit, an 'active' temple compound that is visited by many people throughout the day to worship the huge Buddha image; Wat Mahathat - to have a look at the famous Buddha Head in the banyan tree; and Wat Phanan Choeng - located at the banks of the Pasak River and predating the Ayutthaya period, houses a huge beautiful Buddha image (sequence is subject to change).

11:00 hours Continue towards Nakhon Sawan.

13:00 hours Lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, drive directly to your hotel in Sukhothai and visit a local votive tablet workshop and watch how they are made. Buddhist votive tablets collecting has becomes a cult of modern Thai society because the exchange value of some pieces can rise easily to be as high as many million baht. Clients will have the chance to make their own votive tablet, which will be baked and then brought to their hotel.

18:00 hours Overnight at Sukhothai

Day 2 : SUKHOTHAI - LAMPANG (B/L/-)

08:00 hours Breakfast and check-out. Once capital of the Sukhothai kingdom in the 13th and 14 Century it includes the old city (Muang Kao) which was surrounded by earthen walls and water ditches. A total of four gates use to lead into the city. The Sukhothai period is known as the "golden age" of Thai history. Our sightseeing is started outside the walls with Wat Chetuphon - with its impressive mandapa enshrining four huge brick and stuccoed images of the Buddha in different postures, the walking, standing, sitting and reclining images each face a different direction, and Wat Chedi Si Hong - along the base of the large bell-shaped stupa are stucco reliefs, depicting animals and people. Some parts are still in good conditions, giving details of the garments and jewelry during the Sukhothai era.

10:00 hours Then visit Wat Mahathat - the largest and most important temple of the empire, located next to the Royal Palace; Wat Sra Sri - with its bell-shaped chedi that is constructed in the typical Sri Lankan style; and Wat Sri Chum - with the graceful Buddha sculpture enshrined inside the remaining structure of the square mandala building.

11.30 hours For today's lunch we transfer to a nearby homestay where the host and your guide will introduce you to some of the homegrown

Once acquainted with the ingredients for your lunch, you can roll up your sleeves and participate in your own Thai cooking experience. Converse with your fellow cooks in the relaxing surroundings as you take a rest and enjoy the dishes you have, or have not, prepared. After satisfying your hunger, transfer to your hotel in Lampang.

16:00 hours Overnight at Lampang

Day 3 : LAMPANG - CHIANG RAI - GOLDEN TRIANGLE (B/L/-)

07:30 hours In the morning, visit a local school (closed on weekends and holidays). It would be nice if you bring the pupils some gifts (for example something from your hotel country or English picture books, pencils, etc.)

09:00 hours On the way northwards, we stop at some pineapple fields.

11:00 hours At the Kwan Phayao - A semi-natural freshwater lake created to improve irrigation in the area.

12:00 hours And Wat Rong Khun - the white temple of Chiang Rai. The temple appears to be unusual because of the white color of the walls and the many windows, the sculptures that are almost frightening, the grotesque statues and the sparkling decorations.

13:00 hours Lunch in a local restaurant and afterwards drive to the Golden Triangle area to a public pier

15:30 hours Embark a local motorized boat and cruise on the Mekong River close by the border of three countries, where you can see the simple and traditional lifestyle. Afterwards visit the house of opium. This small museum explains the history of opium production and opium trade in the region. It's full of opium artifacts and there are exhibits explaining how opium was made as well as how it was traded and used in the region. The exhibits also explain how opium has impacted the people in the region. Continue to a vantage point where you'll have an excellent view of the Mekong valley and the neighboring countries.

17:30 hours Overnight at Chiang Rai

Day 4 : GOLDEN TRIANGLE - MAE SAI - DOI TUNG - MAE CHAN - THATON - CHIANG MAI (B/L/-)

In the morning, drive towards Mae Sai, Thailand's northernmost city, and visit Wat Phra That Wai Dao, built on a small hill up a steep staircase and overlooking Mae Sai and Tachileik. Afterwrds you can stroll to the bridge over the Ruak River that connects Mae Sai with Tachilek on the Burmese side, observe the lively traffic of the border trade and explore the market best known for gemstones like Burmese rubies, emeralds and jade.

10:30 hours Afterwards depart for Doi Tung and visit the Royal Villa and the Mae Fah Luang Garden, the Mae Fah Luang Arboretum at Chang Mub and some ethnic hill-tribe communities nearby.

13:00 hours Enjoy lunch in a local lunch at Thaton Riverview Restaurant & Hotel and continue to Chiang Mai city.

17:00 hours En route visit an Orchid Farm.

18:00 hours Overnight at Chiang Mai

Day 5 : CHIANG MAI - NIGHT TRAIN TO BANGKOK (B/L/-)

Breakfast and time at leisure until check-out.

11:00 hours Visit Wat Sri Supan - located in the traditional silver-making district of the city is an important centre for handicrafts and helps to preserve the silversmith tradition of this area of Chiang Mai. Techniques are handed down to the new generation of silversmiths at the Ancient Lanna Arts Study Centre (known as "Sala Sip Mu Lanna"). You are encouraged to see the artisans at work. Take a rickshaw to Wat Pan Tao - a temple made completely of Teak Wood panels. Then continue to Wat Phra Singh - situated in the heart of the city originating from the 14th century and contains beautiful examples of Lanna art.

Enjoy lunch in a local restaurant (whenever guests feel hungry therefore sequence is subject to change) and drive up the hill overlooking the city and visit Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the most sacred temple in containing a holy relic of Lord Buddha. Return to your hotel to collect your luggage at your hotel.

16:00 hours Transfer to Chiang Mai train station and Take the night train ETD 17:00 hours to Bangkok.

Day 6 : BANGKOK ARRIVAL (-/-/-)

Upon arrival in Bangkok, ETA 06.15hrs, transfer from the train station to your Bangkok city hotel without Guide.
