Massage is good for you – and with the right personal care products, it can be a true indulgence. Along with classic oils, these products increasingly include massage candles: once lit, these candles melt the surrounding wax, which – warmed to a pleasant temperature – is then dripped on the skin. And KahlWax 6240 is the perfect ingredient.
KahlWax 6240 is a soft, pliable, butterlike wax based on vegetable oil. Due to its low melting point and softness, KahlWax 6240 is the ideal base wax for massage candles. In addition to its semi-occlusive properties – which produce satisfying skin conditioning and moisturizing effects – KahlWax 6240 is also free of the blooming effects produced by other low-melting waxes like shea butter.
Unlike other waxes used for stick preparations, KahlWax 6240 can be used as a hardness regulator to create softer sticks. Its purity makes it ideal for use in cosmetic applications such as crayons, pencils or sunscreens. In sunscreens containing inorganics such as TiO2 or ZnO, KahlWax 6240 improves the texture and feels very smooth on the skin. KahlWax 6240 is compatible with most cosmetic oils and waxes, making it suitable for scented candles, such as those used in aromatherapy.
