Through the study, shea butter oil (processed coconut oil by rubbing it around the fruits and stored for a period shea butter oil) among the others were excellent and was seen at of 18 days. The vegetable oils were used to brush the cucumber every point to be better than the coconut oil and local shea butter fruits. The control fruits were kept without any waxing material; waxed cucumber fruits. At the end of the study, it was found out the fruits were kept at ambient temperature on the laboratory that shea butter is good waxing material that can be used to coat bench for 3 weeks. During this period the weight and size of the any food material in order to increase its period of storage and fruits were determined at intervals of 3 days. -
Characterisation of Fat Crystal Polymorphism in Cocoa Butter by Time-Domain NMR and DSC Deconvolution

Nowadays, X-ray diffraction (XRD) is the most commonly used method to determine the polymorphic state. However, quantification of the different polymorphic forms present in a sample is not straightforward. Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) is another method which provides information about fat crystallization processes: the different peaks in the DSC spectrum can be coupled to the melting/crystallisation of certain polymorphs. During the last decade, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) has been proposed as a method to determine, qualitatively and/or quantitatively, the polymorphic forms present in fat samples. In this work, DSC- and NMR-deconvolution methods were evaluated on their ability to determine the polymorphic Citation: Declerck, A.; Nelis, V.; state of cocoa butter, with XRD as a reference method. Cocoa butter was subjected to two different Danthine, S.; Dewettinck, K.; Van der temperature profiles, which enforced cocoa butter crystallization in different polymorphic forms. -

Ayurveda College Patna Abstract During this fast life every person fell into some or the other injuries due to trauma; either it may occur on roads with some weapons, in office or even in kitchen while doing household work. Acharya Sushruta has described six types of wounds which occur accidentally by sharp or blunt instruments called sadyo vrana or agantuja vrana (Su.Chi. 2/9). So, after going through different texts it has been found that resin of shorea robusta has been described to have good healing property. It is a good disinfectant, antiseptic and fumigant. 30 patients fulfilling the inclusion criteria of wound were randomly selected from OPD/IPD, Deptt. Of shalya, G.A.C.H., Patna. Dressing of the wound with the above drug was done to the subjects. The results were assessed in pre and post treatment designed proforma. In this group bleeding was completely relieved whereas more than 90% relief was obtained in pain, tenderness, size. Symptoms like itching sensation, color, surface, smell, discharge were relieved upto 50 to 75 % respectively. -

Particleboards from Durian Peel and Coconut Coir
The First Thai-Biomass Utilization Symposium __ _______________________________________________________ Effective Utilization of Forest Biomass for Regional People in Thailand Particleboards from Durian Peel and Coconut Coir Sarocha Charoenvai*, Jongjit Hirunlabh*, and Joseph Khedari* Abstract Manufacturing particleboards from tropical fruit peel particle; durian (Durio zibethinus ) peels and coconut coir ( Cocos nucifera ); with low thermal conductivity is the main purpose of this study. Two main parameters were investigated namely binder types, (UF 12%, PF 6% and IC 3%) and board density. In general, the effect of adhesive type on the properties of boards was not obvious whereas that of the density was more significant on most properties of boards. Experimental investigation indicated that the mechanical properties of all boards increased with increasing board density, but this decrease the dimension stability, expressed by the thickness swelling and the thermal conductivity as well. Technology is used to manufacture materials from agricultural waste which is considered to substitute natural wood. The productivity of Thai fruit [1] is anticipated to increase in the future and the associated produced waste will lead to social and environmental problems, if we are unable to dispose them. -
Lipase – Catalyzed Modification of Rice Bran Oil Solid Fat Fraction Patchara Kosiyanant1, Garima Pande2, Wanna Tungjaroenchai1, and Casimir C
Journal of Oleo Science Copyright ©2018 by Japan Oil Chemists’ Society J-STAGE Advance Publication date : September 13, 2018 doi : 10.5650/jos.ess18078 J. Oleo Sci. Lipase – catalyzed Modification of Rice Bran Oil Solid Fat Fraction Patchara Kosiyanant1, Garima Pande2, Wanna Tungjaroenchai1, and Casimir C. Akoh2* 1 Faculty of Agro-Industry, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, Bangkok, 10520, THAILAND 2 Department of Food Science and Technology, The University of Georgia, Athens, Georgia, 30602, USA Abstract: This study used a rice bran oil solid fat fraction (RBOSF) to produce cocoa butter alternatives via interesterification reaction catalyzed by immobilized lipase (Lipozyme® RM IM) in hexane. Effects of reaction time (6, 12, and 18 h), temperature (55, 60, and 65℃), mole ratios of 3 substrates [RBOSF:palm olein:C18:0 donors (1:1:2, 1:2:3, and 1:2:6)] were determined. The substrate system was dissolved in 3 mL of hexane and 10% of lipase was added. Two sources of C18:0 donors, stearic acid (SAd) and ethyl stearate (ESd) were used. Pancreatic lipase – catalyzed sn-2 positional analysis was also performed on both substrates and structured lipids (interesterification products). Structured lipids (SL) were analyzed by gas – liquid chromatography (G40.35LC) for fatty acid composition. Major fatty acids of RBOSF were C18:1, oleic acid (OA, 41.15±0.01%), C18:2, linoleic acid (LA, 30.05±0.01%) and C16:0, palmitic acid (PA, 22.64±0.01%), respectively. A commercial raw cocoa butter (CB) contained C18:0, stearic acid (SA, 33.13±0.04%), OA (32.52±0.03%), and PA (28.90±0.01%), respectively. -
