Denice Torres Chief Strategy & Business Transformation Officer Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices

Denice Torres is Chief Strategy & Business Transformation Officer for Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices. She serves on the Medical Devices Group Operating Committee (GOC) and is responsible for boldly advancing the organization’s transformation to support its innovation and growth goals.

Prior to this role, Denice was the co-chair for Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc., North America. She was also President of the Johnson & Johnson Consumer US OTC division, McNeil Consumer Healthcare, which has provided healthcare solutions through well-known and trusted OTC medicines and products, including ®, Zyrtec® and Motrin®, Pepcid®, Sudafed®, ® and Imodium®, to consumers for over 130 years.

Denice began her career practicing law in Michigan. After a few years, she joined a small advertising and marketing services agency where she focused on business-to-business and healthcare. She then joined Eli Lilly in Indianapolis, Indiana where she spent 15 years in roles of increasing responsibility, including executive director of Global Marketing for Mental Health, director of U.S. Women’s Health, and head of U.S. market research. She also held roles in disease management, new product planning, business development, and sales.

Denice joined Johnson & Johnson in 2004 as the Vice President of Marketing for Ortho McNeil Neurologics. She then moved to the medical device segment where she was the Vice President of U.S. Sales and Marketing for Biosurgery. Following that assignment, she served as the President of CNS for , focusing on solutions for mental health.

In 2016, Denice was selected as the recipient of the Johnson & Johnson H.O.N.O.R. Special Recognition Leadership Award for her exceptional support of the company’s employee resource groups and diversity and inclusion. In 2015, she was named Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association Woman of the Year. In 2013, Working Mother named her Working Mother of the Year. She has been featured in Philadelphia Business Journal, Latina Style Top 50 Companies, WomenWorking and Siempre Mujer.

Denice has a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross School of Business; Doctor of Jurisprudence from Indiana University, Maurer School of Law; and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ball State University.

Denice lives in Clinton, NJ with her partner, Kim, and their 15-year-old daughter, Sierra. As mom to a daughter with cerebral palsy, she is wildly passionate about opportunities and possibilities for special needs children. In her spare time, Denice serves as a volunteer for American Corporate Partners Veteran Mentoring Program.
