Οι διοργανωτές (Πάρκο Πάρου, ΚΔΕΠΑΠ, Ποδηλατικός Όμιλος Πάρου) έχουν ορίσει ως εμπρόθεσμο χρόνο τερματισμού τις 4 ώρες, ενώ οι συμμετέχοντες εντάσσονται σε δυο κατηγορίες αντρών και γυναικών και πρέπει να είναι άνω των 16 ετών. Gewiss, manche Musik sollte man nicht auf leerem Magen genießen. Und bestimmte Tempi lassen uns schneller, nein, hastiger essen als andere. Aber wie eng ist die Verbindung zwischen kulinarischem und musikalischem Empfinden tatsächlich, vor allem im Bereich Pop? Seit jeher gibt es Lieder und Stücke über das Essen. Vom folkloristischen Genusslied bis hin zu den Beatles, die ja immerhin über Trüffel, Erdbeeren, Zwiebeln und Kuchen sangen. Nicht zu vergessen: Tom Waits, wie er wieder mal des Nachts im Diner sinniert. Oder aber Kelis mit ihrem Hit »Milkshake«, nach dem alle »boys« verrückt sind. Die US- Amerikanerin muss als Musterbeispiel eines neuen Typus selbständiger Pop-Stars gelten. Kelis ist nämlich angesichts eines eigenen Kochbuchs, einer Saucen-Linie und einer TV- Kochshow mindestens ebenso sehr Food-Unternehmerin, wie sie Musikerin ist. Damit steht sie nicht allein: Auf dem Vice-TV-Kanal »Munchies« ist der Rapper Action Bronson der Star seiner eigenen Serie übers Essen; die Musiker Ólafur Arnalds, Seth Troxler oder Ata betreiben allesamt Restaurants oder Imbisse. Das Essen dabei immer wieder dem Pop als zeitgemäßes Trägermedium dient, zeigt auch das jüngste Album des in New York und Berlin ansässigen Trios Battles. Denn das Nachdenken über Lebenslust und Verschwendung geht mit den rein instrumentalen Klängen ihres neuen Albums »La Di Da Di« bestens an den Gaumen. Es handelt sich um das dritte Album der Band und das erste, das die beiden Multiinstrumentalisten Dave Konopka und Ian Williams mit John Stanier zu dritt aufgenommen haben.
