How to find us Access to the hotel via Wilhelmstrasse. By train: The station is located 7 kilometers from the city center and can be reached in 10–20 minutes by bus or taxi. Bus number 201 runs from the station to the city centre every 10 minutes. The closest stop to the hotel is “Hindenburgplatz”. A one-way fare costs €2.30. By plane: Karlsruhe/Baden airport (FKB) is approximately 16 kilometers from the hotel and can be reached by car or taxi in about 30 minutes. By car: A5 exit Baden-Baden, B500 Baden-Baden. In the town follow directions towards the Festspielhaus and do not take the tunnel. Take Lange Strasse up to Hindenburgplatz, then turn right on Kaiserallee, follow signs for Hotel Hirsch, then turn left and cross the Oos bridge and Luisenstrasse. After 200m you will see the HELIOPARK Bad Hotel zum Hirsch. Parking spaces are available for €11 per day per 24h period in the car park “Galerie Wagener” on Lange Strasse (ca. 200m away from the hotel). For loading and unloading use the area directly in front of the hotel. If you are arriving by car, we ask you to enter Wilhelmstrasse, 76530 Baden-Baden into your navigation system. The hotel is at the end of Wilhelmstrasse. We wish you a pleasant journey. Baden-Baden & surrounding area The casino, Festspielhaus, Friedrichsbad and the parks are a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. The direct access to Schwarzwaldhochstrasse makes a trip into nature a perfect experience. Europapark in Rust (40km) is also a worthwhile outing. Culture Europe’s summer capital offers excitement and culture for every season. Three times a year you can watch and hold your breath in excitement, speculating with betting enthusiasts at the exciting international horse races at Iffezheim’s racetrack. The Festspielhaus, the second largest opera house in Europe, entertains with unforgettable musical experiences and ballet productions. Collector Frieder Burda’s new museum is an outstanding jewel in the spa gardens of Baden-Baden. About 500 paintings, drawings, sculptures and objects outline the journey of art history over the last 100 years. The Roman bath ruins with incorporated baths, one of the nation’s oldest, have been preserved to their original style. Experience there, first hand, more than 2000 years of history. Sport Hikers, golfers, cyclists and climbers – whoever visits Baden-Baden and would like to be active, is spoilt for choice. In addition to the golf region Baden-Alsace, the high rope and low rope courses in the city forest and 3 signposted Nordic walking trails, for cycling fans there are approximately 3000 kilometers of cycling trails, from the Rhine valley to the high levels of the Black Forest. In winter there are over 1000km of slopes for cross-country skiers. Tobogganists will get their money’s worth on the 3km long ski slope, then they can catch their breath on the bus drive back. Lichtenthal Abbey This Cistercian abbey was founded by Margravine Irmengard in 1245. The tombs of the Margraves of Baden can be found in the Gothic-style Prince’s Chapel. Caracalla Spa A large bathing area offering an outdoor pool, whirlpool and a sauna area. With the many treatments on offer it is also spa for healing. New: the wellness lounge, with a wide range of treatments on offer. The Roman-Irish bath Many spa treatments providing relief, healing and pleasure. Staatliche Kunsthalle This building was built in 1908 and is the only state-owned exhibition institute in Germany.
