Biography of Maestro Josef Bulva Josef Bulva was born on 9th January 1943 in Brno in the Czech Republic. He was just thirteen years old when he stood out for his interpretations of Paganini's Variations, Brahms and Liszt's concertos for piano. Due to his talent, Josef Bulva became the protege of the Party and was then named "State Soloist". In 1971, a terrible mountain accident interrupted his musical activity. Restored in 1972, he emigrated to the West and became a citizen of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. For his artistic residency, he chose Munich, the capital of Bavaria. Large international concert halls and recording studios opened their doors to him and his fame continued to grow. In 1996, he fell on ice and seriously injured his left hand and had to abandon the world of music. He then moved to Monaco where he devoted himself to other activities. Around 2003 he resumed discreetly, but with the same requirement as fifty years earlier, his pianistic practice under the direction of Professor Beat Simmen from Zürich, and, finally, started playing again. In 2010 the famous piano manufacturer Steinway announced: "Our artist is back". RCA then asked his former artist to resume their cooperation. Different TV channels make films and documentaries. The press once again praises the unique sound and amazing technique of Josef Bulva, "Pianist among pianists". Dinner in honor of Maestro Josef Bulva Hotel Hermitage, Salon Excelsior Saturday 9th May 2020, 9.45 p.m. Following the concert, you can join a dinner in honor of Maestro Josef Bulva, which will also be attended by Monegasque and German personalities.
