Dear Parents/Carers,

It’s the end of the third week back and the year has got off to a flying start! We welcomed nearly 200 year 7 students to on the 4th September and we are so impressed with the way in which they have settled into life here. Our new year 12 are getting to grips admirably with the high expectations we have for our sixth formers.

There have been many changes to the site over the summer; the ‘facelifts’ that many areas have been given were extremely positively received, particularly the foyer area, which we are grateful to Stowe Valley Trust for funding. More exciting plans are afoot for this academic year with regard to updating the site and making it an excellent learning environment.

As you may know, Kineton High School opened as a new academy on September 1st. We have joined the family of schools that comprises The Stowe Valley Trust. This will mean that we can work collaboratively with the other schools across the Trust in the interests of ensuring all our children are ‘responsible, capable and confident citizens’ that leave school with excellent outcomes and life chances. Mr Ranjit Samra, CEO of the Trust and Head of dropped in this week and spoke to students about our new ‘corridor card’ system. This has been introduced to support students being respectful towards others and wearing their uniform with pride. I must say a big well done to our student body for making such an effort and embracing the change. The message is loud and clear and uniform looks fantastic.

Achieving Personal Best Best Personal Achieving Another well done goes to all our students who came to support our Open Evening on Thursday 19th. I felt very proud to be part of such a wonderful community; so many parents and visitors commented on the friendliness and helpfulness of the students here.
