Renault F1 im Fokus Du darfst dir keinen Fehler erlauben“ Das Rennen: Einer hat sich für den Großen Preis von Deutschland am 25. Juli auf dem Hockenheimring besonders viel vorgenommen: Jarno Trulli. Mit seinem Renault R24 startet der Italiener, der in dieser Saison schon den Großen Preis von Monaco gewonnen hat, auf dem 4,574 Kilometer langen Kurs einen weiteren Angriff auf den dritten Platz in der Fahrerweltmeisterschaft. „Ich bin ziemlich zuversichtlich für dieses Rennen“, sagt er, „ich mag den Kurs von Hockenheim.“ Kein Wunder: Als Dritter holte er dort im Vorjahr seinen ersten Podestplatz für Renault. Sein Teamkollege Fernando Alonso kam als Vierter ins Ziel. Mit einer ähnlich starken Mannschaftsleistung könnten die Renault F1 Piloten beim zweiten Saisonauftritt der Formel 1 in Deutschland den hervorragenden zweiten Platz von Renault hinter Spitzenreiter Ferrari in der Konstrukteursweltmeisterschaft untermauern. Auf was es in Hockenheim vor allem ankommt? „Du musst sehr präzise fahren und darfst dir keinen Fehler erlauben, weil es für deine Gegner reichlich Gelegenheiten zum Überholen gibt“, erläutert Jarno Trulli, der sich nur zu gerne ein nachträgliches Geschenk zu seinem 30. ! 1980 Tyrrell 010 Chassis No: 010/2 • A competitive and useable ground effect entry to the flourishing FIA Historic Formula One Championship, with a sister 010 taking eight wins so far this season. • Historian Allen Brown has confirmed that this car was the replacement 010/2 for Daly at the US GP in 1980. Driven in 1981 by Ricardo Zunino and Eddie Cheever, with a 4th place at the British Grand Prix for Cheever, before being sold by Tyrrell as a complete entity to Roy Lane. • HSCC Historic Formula 1 Champion with Richard Peacock in 1989. • In the current ownership for the last 20 years, with minimal use. The Tyrrell Racing Organisation is a name that rings out with some of the all time Formula 1 greats, with three Formula 1 World Championships and one Constructors Championship to its name. It’s founder, Ken Tyrrell first came into racing in 1958 when he ran three Formula 3 cars for himself and a couple of local stars. Ken soon realised that he was not destined to be a racing driver and stood down from driving duties in 1959, instead to focus on running a Formula Junior team from a woodshed owned by his family business, Tyrrell Brothers. Tyrrell ran a variety of cars in the lower formulas through the 1960s, giving drivers like John Surtees, Jacky Ickx and most notably Jackie Stewart their single seater debuts. In 1968, Tyrrell’s involvement with Matra in Formula 2 was stepped up to the main stage of Formula 1, where Ken ran Matra International, a joint venture between Tyrrell and Matra. -

Baku City Circuit’s winding, narrow sequences, 90-degree turns and high-speed straights - all set against the breath- taking backdrop of Baku’s UNESCO-protected old city, magnificent skylines and beautiful seaside promenade - have proven to be a major challenge to the current F1 grid, resulting in last year’s spectacular outcome and many on-track altercations. We are very confident of a similar explosion of drama, speed and bravery occurring once again for the 2018 edition. Furthermore, the off-track entertainment will be bigger and better than ever before with world-class music, visual and conceptual artists once again performing all along the specially constructed Fan Zone all weekend. -

Sales of the MG3 continue to steadily increase with more being seen on the road. So far in 2015, there have been 198 cars registered, which is an increase of 13 over last year. The MG6 facelift is being eagerly awaited and we hope to see a big advertising campaign to promote one of the best kept secrets in the automotive industry to the wider general public. There has certainly been a lot more TV advertising since Christmas, which is great. There has been a flurry of activity with the new 15 plate registrations at the beginning of March. Its great to see so many new owners photographed picking up their cars on the Facebook pages from the sales centre in Longbridge and dealers all around the country. There also seems to be a very noticeable increase in younger owners, which is great for the future of MG. Telford MG has opened a £1-million new showroom in the heart of the town’s ‘motor alley’ and sold a new MG33STYLE to a delighted 21-year-old Alix Lye on the opening day.
