Support Race Pit Lane Entry / Exit:

Entry for Support Race pit lane equipment on the Saturday and Sunday is via the final garage (the one next to Garage 26) and exit from the pit lane is via the gate next to the Media Centre. www.msaformula.com 2.1 Team Transporter Circuit Access

On Friday, all Paddock vehicles should enter the circuit via the main entrance, keeping to the left hand side if told to wait, and through the vehicle tunnel. Once through the tunnel, all Paddock vehicles should be driven slowly down the infield access roadway towards the petrol pumps and then turn into the paddock. During exceptionally busy periods, team transporters and large support vehicles may be diverted via the Industrial Estate and track. If this happens, a holding area may be created on the track with vehicles called in one-by-one to avoid blocking access to the Airfield.

2.2 Transporter Flags:

Due to local air traffic control restrictions you may only fly flags on your transporters between 09.00hrs on Saturday, May 9 to 18.00hrs on Sunday, May 10. The erection of flags and flagpoles outside these times is strictly prohibited. Please DO still fly your Ford and MSA Formula flags over the weekend!

2.3 Paddock:

Tail Lifts

Teams must not leave their tail lifts down blocking roadways, especially during the parking-up process on Friday, May 8. Teams should always have one team-member in attendance while a tail lift is down so it can be raised with the minimum of fuss to allow access for other vehicles. Your co-operation with this is appreciated.

One-Way system

During Saturday and Sunday, a one-way system will operate in the Paddock area opposite the Parc Ferme / Assembly Area which must be adhered to at all times to prevent any blockages and delays in the running of the event. Traffic will flow one-way anti-clockwise round the paddock!

Motorhome area

The Motorhome area is on the right hand side of the road before the fuel pumps (as vehicles approach from the tunnel). The overflow motorhome area is near the circuit office. The motorhome area must be kept clean (i.e. no dumping of waste from waste tanks etc.) and jacks should be placed onto protective blocks and not dropped straight on to the Tarmac. This area needs to be clear by 09.00, Monday, May 11.

Vacating the paddock

The runway section of the paddock (the side between Scrutineering Bay and Fuel Station) must be cleared on the night of Sunday, May 10. The rest of the paddocks must be cleared by the end of Monday, May 11.

2.4 Vehicle Pass access Sunday, May 10:

After 08.30hrs on Sunday, May 10, the traffic system set up by the local police will be strictly enforced so all labelled traffic (e.g. those with TOCA-issued vehicle passes) must follow the “TOCA” signs/directions. Those that fail to do so will end up in the public car parks and not the Competitors Car Park or Paddock.

3. Important Information: 3.1 Competitors Car Park

The Competitors Car Park is to the right of the main entrance (Car Park B). All vehicles with Competitors Car Park passes (private cars, crew buses, vans etc.) should park here, and that includes during the Parking Up days. No cars unless vital to the running of the meeting will be permitted access to the paddock. www.msaformula.com 3.2 Live Television:

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the demands of the live ITV broadcast, the event timetable on Sunday is flexible to allow for any unforeseen circumstances on the day. Therefore start times, particularly for the BTCC races, may change at short notice and teams/competitors will be notified by event officials if/when that happens.

3.3 Refuse disposal and collection:

The Circuit has asked that teams flatten any boxes before they dispose of them in bins and, if possible, for bins to be placed overnight in an easily accessible area to help speed up the refuse collection on Saturday and Sunday.

4 Circuit Specific Information:

4.1 Racing Engines Friday, May 8: Teams may run racing engines between 09.00 and 17.00hrs but the engines must not go over 3500rpm. The noise limit is restricted to 90db (static).

4.1.1 Sunday race. We are first race, directly after Church Break. We suggest engine warming is done between 09:00- 14:30. Church Break Engine Silence is between 09:30 and 10:40. At 10:15 cars may be pushed to Assembly Area. At 10:35 cars may be started on tick-over, no revving.

4.2 A Meeting Point will be set up at the top of Car Park A, near the ticket hut before the pedestrian entrance, for team representatives to meet guests who are collecting passes / tickets. There will also be a similar Meeting Point at the top of Car Park B for anyone with a Competitors Car Park Pass but without a ticket / pass. Team members must ensure they get a pass out before going to the meeting points and all passes/tickets will be checked by gate staff on the way back in.

4.3 Any circuit tickets bought by teams in advance of the Meeting will include paddock transfer as part of the team discounted rate. Tickets may be ordered from http://www.thruxtonracing.co.uk/racing/btcc .

4.4 Golf buggies are not permitted in the Trade Area but they will be permitted through the vehicle tunnel for teams to ferry guests in and out of the paddock.

4.5 It is not permitted to drive any pins or stakes into the Paddock surface. A fine of £100 plus reinstatement costs may be levied by the circuit for each and every breach of this rule.

4.6 The Fire Lane at the rear of the Pit Garages must be kept totally clear at all times.

4.7 Empty Carless fuel cans should be left neat and tidy at the circuit fuel pumps. Please ensure that all waste oil is placed in the containers provided by the circuit and not put into empty Carless fuel cans (along with any other substances) as these incur high costs to recycle and the costs will be passed on to all teams in your Championship.

4.8 On safety grounds there will be no access for motorised vehicles (including quad bikes and buggies) to the grass triangle area behind the Scrutineering Bay.

4.9 There is no circuit power available in the paddock or on the pit wall. Generators provided as usual.

4.10 A Pass Out system will be operational on Sunday, May 10. Anyone with a BTCC/TOCA pass of any description who needs to leave the circuit must make sure they see a security guard at the main gate to be issued with the Pass Out. Anyone attempting to re-enter the circuit with a marked pass but without a Pass Out will be refused admission. Please ensure all team members and guests with permanent passes understand this.

5. MSA Performance Training. Saturday. Driver training session with James Wozencroft starts after our first race on Saturday, 16:30 in the MSA Formula Race Centre.

www.msaformula.com 5.1 Hospitality. Our Championship Race Centre will be serving food and looking after your VIP Guests (bookings and payments must be received by Wednesday 6 th May). Please call Penny for further information.

5.2 In car cameras. Teams, please set your Smartycams to show the time readout. Contact Nigel Jones if you need details of how to reconfigure the recorder.

5.3 Parc Fermé. Teams followed this system well at , and Nigel Jones applauds you for your vigilance and efficiency. It is likely this practice will be adopted at other circuits through this season, where secure space is limited.

5.4 TV. If you would like a copy of the Sunday race footage (without interviews) then please contact Penny by the Wednesday prior to the Race Meeting, so it can be booked. No more than 30 seconds of this can be put onto any internet outlet (and this cannot include any possible judicial moment, or be within 8-days of the race meeting).

I do hope we can help you to enable more people to see your race footage (in addition to what they can watch live on ITV4 at 15:15 on Sunday 10 th May).

5.5 Award Presentations. After race 3, Parc Fermé and judicial (if necessary) we hold end of event presentations for all drivers, their guests, and members of their teams – at which they are awarded their trophies to take home, receive any additional awards, hear final information and collect back race /team licences where available. Please factor this element into the end of every race meeting, and do not plan to leave directly after your race (since all drivers must remain on site for at least 30 minutes after any race in which they compete). Drivers need to be in official paddock clothing or race suits for these presentations please.

We look forward to seeing you at Thruxton!
