Snap-On Business Solutions Technician Award is chosen from the competing teams, to win a £250 Snap-on tool voucher. At the end of the season Snap-on Business Solutions will award a tool cabinet worth £3000 to the mechanic deemed to have put in the biggest effort overall. 1.3 Judicial.

Drivers and entrant team managers/guardians of cars 8, 11, 14, 15, 18 and 31 were interviewed by the Clerk of the Course (David Pierre) to ascertain how various on-track incidents occurred in both qualifying and racing sessions. Additional official television and in-car footage was also studied in supplement to the observer reports received.

Breaking track limits was a particular concern over some driving standards. Greater car control is needed. Drivers are also reminded that if they lose their grid position on the green flag lap, and all cars overtake them, they MUST NOT take up their original grid position. They must start from the back of the grid. Driver of car 17 therefore received a drive through penalty during the race for his out of position grid start. www.msaformula.com Race 3 – driver of car 31 was excluded from the results of the race for overtaking under yellow flags under MSA regulation C2.1.7 / G5.3.2 (offence C1.1.6 flag signals; Q15.1.2). 4 penalty points were recorded on his race licence. His team entrant exercised his right of appeal to the stewards (MSA regulation C6.1) and this is scheduled to be heard early at the Donington Park event, 18 th April. Results of Race 3, prize money and championship points are therefore provisional pending the outcome of this appeal hearing. Amended provisional results are attached with this document.

Clerk of the Course David Pierre is particularly keen that all drivers are congratulated on how well they responded to the Safety Car period in the first race on Saturday. This was well handled and gaps were closed up.

DO NOT use a sewing machine which will destroy the suit flame-proofing. To wash, turn inside out and machine wash on cool or 30°C temperature using a gentle soap, ideally savon Marseille – or dry clean. Dry and store away from sun, moon and direct heat.

www.msaformula.com 2.1 Championship Clothing. This is to be worn through the race weekend please, when not in your race suits. Put your name on the inside labels and we suggest you keep all your race weekend items in the Ford bags which will be supplied at Donington Park with your jackets and polos shirts, so you do not forget anything for each event.

2.2 Filming and Footage guidelines. Please be aware there are specific permissions required for use of footage or doing your own filming at TOCA events. Recorded footage is available at over £100 cost to order by Wednesday of race meeting (for Sunday live race). No BTCC/ITV footage can be broadcast on random ‘YouTube’ or similar Internet sites, but can be broadcast on your individual dedicated team/driver/sponsor website or official YouTube site. Contact me if you have an urgent request. Failure to follow directives may oblige ITV or TOCA to issue blanket bans over everybody.

ITV has exclusive UK broadcast rights on all race footage for 7 days after each event. Ask for more information.

3.3 Support Race Test Day and BTCC Paddock:

On Thursday, April 16, there is strictly no parking for any Support Race vehicles in Paddock 1 (i.e. behind the garages or the area between the fence and the white line). Teams can work from garages during their morning test sessions only but they must not leave equipment in the garages.

3.3.1 Support Race Pit Lane Entry / Exit and Test Day Re-fuelling:

Entry for pit lane equipment for both the test day and the race weekend will be via the gate next to the Race Control building – accessed along the road behind the BTCC paddock (not through the BTCC paddock). Motorhome area in Paddock 2 behind the Support event Race Centres (on the left hand side at the top of the slope once through the paddock gate). Overflow motorhome area is on the grass on the Melbourne Loop. There is no generator power available for these unless booked in advance. Motorhomes caused many power outages last year by hooking up to the paddock generators and overloading them, please book ahead. Camping vehicles detailed with Penny will gain entry, and should receive screen passes at Donington Park.
