Spirit Award was presented to Falcon Motorsport for the untiring work to ready their cars and additional attention to other teams to help supply parts. This award may be given at each round if we feel any party in our Championship deserves additional congratulations for their ‘spirit’ of motorsport. Snap-On Business Solutions Technician Award is chosen from the competing teams, to win a £250 Snap-on tool voucher. At the end of the season Snap-on Business Solutions will award a tool cabinet worth £3000 to the mechanic deemed to have put in the biggest effort overall. Our technical team judged Howard English at Double R Racing to have won this for his work over the event on the car of Gustavo Myasava, which needed much additional attention through the event. Normally these awards will be announced and presented about 40 minutes after Race 3, in the Race Centre. Highlights from MSA Formula will be shown on the Motorsports UK programme on ITV4 20 th (00:00-00:55)and 25 th April (07:55-08:55) and repeated on ITV 27 th April (02:30-03:30). Transmission times are provisional so please check with TV media closer to the date of transmission. Race 2 from Sunday will be shown in the second half of the programme (first half is Ginetta Junior). 1.3 Judicial. Drivers and entrant team managers/guardians of cars 8, 11, 14, 15, 18 and 31 were interviewed by the Clerk of the Course (David Pierre) to ascertain how various on-track incidents occurred in both qualifying and racing sessions. Additional official television and in-car footage was also studied in supplement to the observer reports received. Breaking track limits was a particular concern over some driving standards. Greater car control is needed. Drivers are also reminded that if they lose their grid position on the green flag lap, and all cars overtake them, they MUST NOT take up their original grid position. They must start from the back of the grid. Driver of car 17 therefore received a drive through penalty during the race for his out of position grid start. www.msaformula.com Race 3 – driver of car 31 was excluded from the results of the race for overtaking under yellow flags under MSA regulation C2.1.7 / G5.3.2 (offence C1.1.6 flag signals; Q15.1.2). 4 penalty points were recorded on his race licence. His team entrant exercised his right of appeal to the stewards (MSA regulation C6.1) and this is scheduled to be heard early at the Donington Park event, 18 th April. Results of Race 3, prize money and championship points are therefore provisional pending the outcome of this appeal hearing. Amended provisional results are attached with this document. Clerk of the Course David Pierre is particularly keen that all drivers are congratulated on how well they responded to the Safety Car period in the first race on Saturday. This was well handled and gaps were closed up. 1.4 Technical Report. Carlin did a routine seat extrication test with marshals – this will be regular, any team. Post Qualifying. DO NOT use a sewing machine which will destroy the suit flame-proofing. To wash, turn inside out and machine wash on cool or 30°C temperature using a gentle soap, ideally savon Marseille – or dry clean. Dry and store away from sun, moon and direct heat. www.msaformula.com 2.1 Championship Clothing. This is to be worn through the race weekend please, when not in your race suits. Put your name on the inside labels and we suggest you keep all your race weekend items in the Ford bags which will be supplied at Donington Park with your jackets and polos shirts, so you do not forget anything for each event. 2.2 Filming and Footage guidelines. ITV has exclusive UK broadcast rights on all race footage for 7 days after each event.
