Also for Dan Ticktum for his Rookie Class wins. Result for Race 3 provisional pending meeting of stewards at Donington Park. Prize money: Race 1 - £500 Scholarship winner of race 1 – Dan Ticktum Race 1 - £500 most improved grid position to finishing position in race 1 – Rafael Martins Race 2 - £1,000 overall winner of race 2 - Ricky Collard Race 3 - £1,000 overall winner of race 3 - James Pull – provisional (see judicial). These electronic payments will be made in due course to the banking details of the party who paid entry fees for the registered competitor. Spirit Award was presented to Falcon Motorsport for the untiring work to ready their cars and additional attention to other teams to help supply parts. This award may be given at each round if we feel any party in our Championship deserves additional congratulations for their ‘spirit’ of motorsport. Snap-On Business Solutions Technician Award is chosen from the competing teams, to win a £250 Snap-on tool voucher. At the end of the season Snap-on Business Solutions will award a tool cabinet worth £3000 to the mechanic deemed to have put in the biggest effort overall. Our technical team judged Howard English at Double R Racing to have won this for his work over the event on the car of Gustavo Myasava, which needed much additional attention through the event. Normally these awards will be announced and presented about 40 minutes after Race 3, in the Race Centre. Should you need more results packs of the event please download them from www.tsl-timing.com (link on our website). Photographs of the event are available on www.jakobebrey.com . 1.2 The Sunday race events were broadcast that day on both ITV4, ITV4 HD and online at www.itv.com. Highlights from MSA Formula will be shown on the Motorsports UK programme on ITV4 20 th (00:00-00:55)and 25 th April (07:55-08:55) and repeated on ITV 27 th April (02:30-03:30). Transmission times are provisional so please check with TV media closer to the date of transmission. Race 2 from Sunday will be shown in the second half of the programme (first half is Ginetta Junior). 1.3 Judicial. Drivers and entrant team managers/guardians of cars 8, 11, 14, 15, 18 and 31 were interviewed by the Clerk of the Course (David Pierre) to ascertain how various on-track incidents occurred in both qualifying and racing sessions. Additional official television and in-car footage was also studied in supplement to the observer reports received. Breaking track limits was a particular concern over some driving standards. Greater car control is needed. Drivers are also reminded that if they lose their grid position on the green flag lap, and all cars overtake them, they MUST NOT take up their original grid position. They must start from the back of the grid. Driver of car 17 therefore received a drive through penalty during the race for his out of position grid start. www.msaformula.com Race 3 – driver of car 31 was excluded from the results of the race for overtaking under yellow flags under MSA regulation C2.1.7 / G5.3.2 (offence C1.1.6 flag signals; Q15.1.2). 4 penalty points were recorded on his race licence. His team entrant exercised his right of appeal to the stewards (MSA regulation C6.1) and this is scheduled to be heard early at the Donington Park event, 18 th April. Results of Race 3, prize money and championship points are therefore provisional pending the outcome of this appeal hearing. Amended provisional results are attached with this document. Clerk of the Course David Pierre is particularly keen that all drivers are congratulated on how well they responded to the Safety Car period in the first race on Saturday. This was well handled and gaps were closed up. 1.4 Technical Report. Carlin did a routine seat extrication test with marshals – this will be regular, any team. Post Qualifying. Please be aware there are specific permissions required for use of footage or doing your own filming at TOCA events. Recorded footage is available at over £100 cost to order by Wednesday of race meeting (for Sunday live race). No BTCC/ITV footage can be broadcast on random ‘YouTube’ or similar Internet sites, but can be broadcast on your individual dedicated team/driver/sponsor website or official YouTube site. ITV has exclusive UK broadcast rights on all race footage for 7 days after each event. Ask for more information. 2.2.1 If any driver or team propose to have their own video crew attend events it is necessary to advise Penny Mattocks of any radio frequencies the crew may be using in addition to applying for permission for any filming (which can be in paddock only). 2.3 Website . www.msaformula.com has been redesigned. The ‘Teams Area’ holds useful technical and sporting documents, some of which are password protected. Please apply to Penny for password. 2.4 Official Testing clarification. PLEASE NOTE: There is strictly no access to the Paddocks on Wednesday, September 2. Our teams doing the General Test on Tuesday need to put vehicles by the main entry security gate on the gravel until MSO are ready for them. Cars may be prepared here. Nothing can be left in the Inner Paddock – an event takes place there on Wednesday. One team (not ours) who selfishly left their vehicle in Paddock 2 at Knockhill on the Tuesday night (despite being told not to) caused MSO major problems - they lost more than two hours trying to work round it and had severe difficulties parking up other teams.
