Various efforts were made by the Government of Indonesia to provide a territorial comprehension in order to make the younger generation understand about the circumstances of their country. One effective way is through Territorial Atlas of The Republic of Indonesia, which is the result from collaboration project between Geospatial Information Agency and Ministry of Education and Culture of Indonesia. This atlas is intended towards the benefit of teenage children, who are taking middle education level between the ages of 12-15 years. It is necessary for children at that age to be equipped with spatial intelligence related to the territorial comprehension of Indonesia, the historical development of the Republic of Indonesia, and also the natural resources potential of their country. This comprehension is needed considering that adolescence is a vulnerable age who require self-actualization, so they need to get a correct understanding of the NKRI region in order to foster the sense of nationalism.

It is listed as a structures (fractures and joint sets) trending NNW, ENE UNESCO World Geopark and is also part of the World and NE. Triggered by the episodic tectonic movements, Heritage Wulingyuan Scenic and Historic Interest Area for major streams and escarpments frequently occur along its important landscape features. Many of the sandstone these structural directions, while some of the peak walls, landforms, particularly the vast number of thin pillars or peak clusters and peak forests have their longer elongated spires, are very unusual and serve as the core landscapes of axes corresponding to NE or NNW directions, with an the geopark. But Zhangjiajie displays a diverse range of increased density of peak forms at the intersection of these landform types, exhibiting spectacular patterns and regular fractures and joints.

    THE MAYAS A TRANSPLANTED INDIAN CIVILIZATION by Alain Verdier In several speeches given between 1979 and 1988, indian philosopher and historian P.R. Sarkar made startling revelaons concerning the Mayan civilizaBon. According to him, the Mayan civilizaBon was a « transplanted Indian civilizaBon. It went From South India to Central America during the Chola, Pandya and Pallava dynasBes oF the Indian Middle Ages. » He specifically indicated that it first migrated to Central America during the rule oF the Pallavas. This period corresponds to the Classic Period oF the Mayan civilizaBon (4th to 10th century) which also sees a peak in large-scale construcBons and urbanism. Due to the contacts between India and America, many centuries beFore the discovery oF that conBnent by Christopher Colombus, the Indian and the transplanted Mayan civilizaBon existed side by side. Sarkar actually explained that ‘Mayadviipa’ (Mayan island), the Sanskrit name For America, came From the name oF the Mayan civilizaBon. However, while the Indians had invented the wheel several millenia beFore, the Mayas lagged behind due to the Fact that they never knew its use. Sarkar once pointed out that a true civilizaBon must have Four signs oF progress : agriculture, wheel, dress and script. According to him, many old civilizaBons disapeared From the annals oF history because they simply could not invent the wheel and could not make carts and chariots. The inscribed site comprises six areas found in the sub-tropical zone of south- west China. They are characterized by spectacular red cliffs and a range of erosional landforms, including dramatic natural pillars, towers, ravines, valleys and waterfalls. These rugged landscapes have helped to conserve sub-tropical broad-leaved evergreen forests, and host many species of flora and fauna, about 400 of which are considered rare or threatened. © UNESCO SUMMARY 2020 Conservation Outlook Finalised on 01 Dec 2020 GOOD The conservation outlook for the property is generally good. The current state of the values of the property and the trend are respectively satisfactory and stable. The serial nature of the property, with its six widely separated component parts, is complex but the authorities must be commended on the degree to which they have provided a uniformly consistent legal and institutional framework for protection and management. Existing staff and other management resources appear to be adequate in coping with current factors affecting the property and low levels of threat. Protection of the property is assisted by its remoteness from development and the robust character of the geological landscape. Effective protection and management of the natural forest vegetation and biodiversity contributes significantly to the scenic and aesthetic qualities and to the on-going land forming processes.

These include celebrating European Geoparks Week; the highly successful 12th European Geoparks Conference and progress in discussions between the Global Geoparks Network and UNESCO to develop a UNESCO Global Geoparks Initiative. The inclusion of articles by six new members, Azores Geopark (Portugal); Karavanke/Karawanken Geopark (Slovenia & Austria); Idrija Geopark European Geoparks (Slovenia); Hondsrug Geopark (Netherlands); Sesia-Val Grande Geopark EDITORIAL (Italy); Kula Geopark (Turkey) reflects the expansion of the EGN to 58 Network Magazine members. The 12th European Geoparks Conference entitled “Geoparks an innovative Issue No 11 / 2014 approach to raise public awareness about geohazards, climate change and sustainable use of our natural resources” was hosted by The National Park Published by: of Cilento, Vallo di Diano and Alburni - Geopark between 4-7 September Natural History Museum of the Lesvos PARKS 2013. Country and Project Name: Indonesia – East Java & Bali Power Distribution Strengthening Project 2. Project Development Objective: The expansion of the distribution network comprises erection of new poles, cable stringing, and installation of distribution transformers. 3. Expected Project Benefits: Construction of about 17,000 km distribution lines and installation of distribution transformers in East Java and Bali 4. Identified Project Environmental and Social Risks: Social Risks. It is envisaged that this project will require (i) use of no more than 0.2 m2 of land for installation of concrete poles and approximately 4m2 for installation of transformers (either in cabinet of between two concrete poles or on one pole); limited directional drilling (approx. 200-300m) to run cables under major roads and limited trenching (usually less than 500m) in urban environments, and (iii) possible removal of non-land assets (primarily trimming or felling of trees) for stringing of conductors. While restrictions on land use within the existing right of way apply, the land requirements for the distribution network (lines and transformers) are considered manageable with normal mitigation measures. Project activities will not (i) require land acquisition, (ii) cause physical or economic displacement; and/or (ii) result in adverse impacts to Indigenous Peoples groups and/or members of ethnic minorities. Environmental risks are principally induced by the establishment of the network across natural habitats and potential impact on fauna (in particular avifauna and terrestrial fauna susceptible to access the distribution lines or transformers such as monkeys or other tree dwelling scavenging animals that frequent semi urban environments), and the management of waste (e.g.
