This year Patio Planters is hosting both an online/silent auction for se- lect items, in addition to our traditional live auction. This was done to allow those who are unable to join us today an opportunity to bid on some of the exciting travel packages and high-end items.

 The online auction closed this morning at 8am and has transi- tioned to a silent auction.  Silent auction bidding begins at 10am and closes at 1:30pm.  Silent auction items available for bid may be viewed at the auction stage.  Bid Sheets are provided with each item. To place a bid, please CLEARLY PRINT your full name, phone number and email address when bidding. Only legible bids will be accepted. Proxy online bids for the silent auction will be administered by the Pa- tio Planters auction staff. All online winners be notified within 24 hours. Payment can be made via cash or credit card (Master Card, Visa, Dis- cover or American Express). Silent auction winners may pick up their item at the cashier starting at 1:45 PM. Tie-Breakers: There is a chance that a tie can occur between the online proxy bids that are administered by our volunteers and the in-person silent bids today. Should a tie occur at the conclusion of the silent auction (1:30pm), the online proxy bid will be considered the winner since he/she was the first person to place the winning bid amount.

The live auction (with auctioneer) will feature completely separate and exciting items and packages including art, jewelry, tours and experienc- es, custom holiday decor, gift certificates from restaurants, spas, salons and more. The live auction will start at NOON.

Live Auction Rules:

1. All bidders in the live auction are required to register with the registration desk to receive a numbered paddle for bidding. 2. All bids final with winning bid determined by the auctioneer. 3. Successful bidders will have their bidder number recorded after successfully bidding on an item. 4. Bidders may pay for their item at the cashier at any time. Pur- chases may be picked up immediately after paying at cashier. 5. Payment can be made via cash or credit card (Master Card, Visa, Discover or American Express). 6. All items are generally sold "As Is," without guarantee made to their value, function or genuineness. For this reason, items are offered up for inspection prior to bidding. 7. Most items offered at auction are given an estimated value. This valuation is only an estimate and is not a guarantee of the object's resale value or its worth. 8. Patio Planters holds no liability after auction. Once an object has been legally transferred over to the winning bidder, Patio Planters ceases holding any liability over the object. Any dam- ages incurred due to its use or misuse is not Patio Planters responsibility. 9. Items may be removed from bidding. Although items may be listed in a catalog as being available for bidding, Patio Plant- ers generally reserves the right to remove items from bidding at any time, for any reason. 10. Patio Planters reserves the right to disqualify or reject any bids made during or after the auction, for any reason. The Auctioneer has final say. All disputes over matters related to bidding are referred to the auctioneer, who has final say.

Sunday, December 22, 2019 1pm - 4pm Savor the holiday spirit as Patio Planters of the Vieux Carré presents French Quarter residences dressed for the season. The tour includes interesting architectural styles and home furnishings, as well as a variety of collections of Christmas decorations. This December fundraiser is a prelude to the highly anticipated Caroling in Jackson Square later that night.

French Quarter residents will open their homes for this self-guided walking tour between 1:00 and 4:00 p.m. Tickets are $20 for advanced online pur- chase and $25 day of event (children 12 and under free). Online tickets are available at patioplanters.net. Tickets may be purchased the day of the tour at Creole Delicacies, 533 St. Ann Street (at Jackson Square) and French Quar- ter Gem & Lapidary, 527 St. Philip Street (near Decatur).

December 22, 2019 – 7pm The highlight of the Holiday Season in New Orleans sponsored by Patio Plant- ers since 1946, Caroling in Jackson Square is a joyful holiday tradition that thousands of locals and visitors anticipate every year. Jackson Square is illumi- nated by hundreds of candles held by singers crooning Holiday favorites that everyone is familiar with. The event is free and open to all who wish to participate, regardless of religious affiliation.

The gates to Jackson Square open at 6:30 p.m. Caroling begins at 7:00 p.m. Candles and song sheets are provided courtesy of Patio Planters. Those who plan to attend and participate are strongly advised to arrive early. This isa very popular event that sometimes exceeds the capacity of the square.
